β β β β β You know it's funny, when you go to a cafΓ©, you expect the usual: pretty great coffee, decent sandwiches/baked goods, and pleasant staff.
However when I decided to pop into Cafe Vanilla, I did not expect to have all my previous presumptions of cafΓ©s to be blown out of the water.
It all started with walking in the door and being greeted by warm hello. Not just a "hi" but rather an enthusiastic greeting paired with a wave. It made me feel great, even before my morning coffee!
Placing my order felt like having a chat with an old friend, the staff are kind, show a sense of pride with their job, and also very funny! I opted to get a lattΓ© with an additional shot of espresso paired with gelato, because sometimes you need to treat yourself!
Once I found a comfortable to sit, I enjoyed my gelato and drink while being reminded why I decided to stop in in the first place. The constant warm welcomes by staff to their new patrons was like a breath of fresh air. It made me want to be more enthusiastic when I meet people in my everyday career as it really made me feel good to feel so welcomed.
In short, Cafe Vanilla is great, stop in, say hello to the staff, and enjoy everything they have to offer.

β β β β β The quality of food is amazing and the staff are great. However I learned that they don't give servers their debit/credit tips - only cash! How horrible! Before you tip, check in with your server to make sure it's going to its ethical place.

β β β β β Service was horrible and was very disappointed. Took my three year old son to get some gelato and while doing the tasting, found a big piece of plastic in the ice cream. When I showed it to the girl behind the counter, her response was like she couldnβt care less as she doesnβt make the ice cream. The least I expected was for her to check the box where she took the scoop from to make sure there were no other such pieces
We walked away from the shop and I donβt think I will be suggesting to anyone to go there. Was extremely disappointed by the service and the attitude. My son could have easily ingested that piece of plastic!

β β β β β The service was good but they only have 12 flavours of ice cream. They have about 20 flavours of gelato. The scoops were pretty big. My nieces wanted chocolate and cookies and cream but they didnβt have those flavours. It was disappointing. They should maybe keep some extra ice cream in the back for when they run out of the popular flavours.
Update: the employees at cafe vanilla told us that the nearby ice cream shop βfrostyβsβ was closed after we discovered they didnβt have our flavours. It turns out they are open!!! We just drove by. They have way more flavours. We would have come here instead had we known. Sad.

β β β β β Cafe vanilla is one of my favourite places to visit!! The workers are always super friendly and always try to make your day with their positive attitudes. The prices are fair for the size of the scoop and over all quality. Their coffees are made with love and have a constant delicious taste. I would recommend this cafe to anyone!!!

β β β β β Racist crowd towards Asians . Super rude . Was fine with others but with all Asians was just tooo rude to even offer.
Ps- eye lashes were superb. 1 star for that.

β β β β β My review is based only from the ice-cream and Gelato. The selection is great and the ice-cream portions are large. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and devouring our cold treats!

β β β β β Tall staff lady was racist! When I ordered ice-cream, she told me their ice cream was expensive. Haha.. as though I canβt pay for a scoop of ice cream! Very rude manners with a smirk on her face. Then served the next people after me and my sonβ¦ my son waited and waited for his ice-cream until I asked if she was going to give him. She even spoke as though she was doing us a favor when we ordered drinks. It was an embarrassing experience as we had visitors to tour the area as our visitors expressed feeling insulted. She should not be there at all if customer service was not her cup of tea. Please avoid this place to not ruin your vacation!
