★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to this cafe because of its well crafted plant-based menu, but the service here was beyond horrible. The servers completely messed up my order and did not even bother to apologize for it, when I went to place an order for another coffee, there was noone at the counter and when I asked the barista, she screamed at me saying that she was busy.
I don't know if the servers at this restaurant are racist or just plain rude. I would rate this place in negative if I could. In all my years and travels, I have never experienced such horrible service at any establishment. I'd recommend Matter of Taste Coffee Roasters a couple doors down for a great cup of coffee and a pleasant experience. Never going back here ever again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cafe’s location is great..it had parking right in front of it.. also the seating is good..the chick pea melt was delicious.. the grilled cheeso was loaded with cheese which was yummy with ketchup.. however the hibiscus lemonade was not great at all..felt like having water with just a tinge of hibiscus and no lemonade.. the coconut yogurt was just fine ..had lot of berries..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cafe Pyrus never fails to make delicious food! I frequently get the Angry Vegan for dinner (which is fantastic) and also enjoy their baked goods (pictured here is the magic bar which is also gf)! They always have friendly staff and their new location is great!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a regular at this location. Great atmosphere with ample seating and interesting local art for sale, as well as endless community oriented posts. Most of their food and beverage are quite good. However, be prepared to wait an inordinate amount of time for food to be prepared. Their staff is generally not very engaged or happy looking, which makes me wonder...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Takeout: flat white, shake, pastry for $15. Coffee was ok but foam was non existent, the shake was not sweet which is good to know. 95% vegan except for cheddar cheese? I would remove the yellow #5 cheese.

This is my favourite lunch cafe in the downtown core. Food is ? and coffee is top notch.
What I ordered:
1 x Black Bean Burrito w/ Chips and Guac
What I liked:
Service ✅ service is always consistently good.
Quality ✅ if you are looking for a bleating, quality meal or beverage, look no further.
Value ✅ if you feel you’re paying too much for what you receive then you’re probably not their key customer base.
Interior Vibes ✅ soft seating lounge area, barstool seating as well as traditional cafe seating. A variety of seating options for whatever you’re feeling. Lots of natural light from the floor/ceiling windows.
I don’t have anything bad to say about Cafe Pyrus. It’s my go-to lunch/coffee shoppe and can confidently recommend them to my clients + friends!!?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place for vegetarian or vegan ppl. There are rare places where there are not only wide range of veg options but they are also delicious, all of them! I loved the place and food quality and the staff is very friendly and warm. If you appreciate the veg food, cafe pyrus should be a must visit on king street. They also sell multi grain, fiber and protein containing organic brownies, and cupcakes.
We ordered, hot chocolate, angry vegetarian, club sandwich on the side of salad and chips.
