The servers and cashiers are all super polite ??!! The food is great and the plain coffee with cream and sugar is fantastic!! Most restaurants serve an Arabic blend that my husband and I find way too strong to be enjoyable, Cafè Ami's coffee is so good as it is not anywhere near that strong sludge most places serve where you need too pour out half and then go half coffee and half cream and six sugars to make it enjoyable!! This coffee is great with 2 cream and 1 or 2 sugar depending on taste!!! Their desserts are so divinely delicious!!! I highly recommend there grilled cheese sandwiches or their samosas (they have a wonderful chutney to go with the samosas if you ask??!!). The samosas are a little spicy, but even for me (been a long time since used to spice) they are ok, slight after burn?, but the spice doesn't override how good they taste, have tried the chicken and vegetable, will try the beef next, looking forward to it!! The spacing of the seating for covid safety is good and they have placards on the table that you flip over to red to show table needs cleaning when done and is green to show table has been cleaned. They keep up on cleaning, have yet to go in or go by if busy and see people waiting for tables to be cleaned. I highly recommend the cafe to anyone who would like a great cup of coffee and a quiet table or seat around the window for any of their sandwiches!! 10 out of 10 in my books!!

This cafe's food choices are about 90% *non* vegan which is really unfortunate, but they do have a few wraps, A vegan Bliss ball, a cranberry oat bar which is not listed as being vegan! And today they had some vegan butternut soup but it was very very spicy. Ugh! I talked to the manager and asked her to please bring in Erin Ireland's 'To Live For!' lemon poppy seed loaf slices...most delicious.. but she didn't look too interested in listening to me. Their loss.

They charged me $4 for an 8 oz latte, that’s insane. And it wasn’t even full.

Pretty little cafe, a little pricy and food is good, I got a beef samosa and mocha, but not a lot of selection towards the end of the day

Great local business, have been here a couple times and service is always fast and friendly. Love the sandwiches.

I was trying to buy the Turkey, Cucumber, and Tomato sandwich. The front person charged me for a Turkey Gobbler sandwich which is higher in price. I was eating it, and I didn't see turkey. I thought it was a spread or something. I ate one half of the sandwich because I was so hungry and decided to ask the same guy anyway. It turns out whoever made it forgot to put the turkey in the turkey sandwich. I mean it seems overpriced already. It's convenient, but the experience wasn't good. I'll be hesitant to go back. There is another place here that I know.

I have had hot chocolate and hot apple cider here and it is quite syrupy, deathly sweet, and of low quality. If you have not been here, you are certainly not missing out on anything.

This is a great convenient cafe for VGH. Your alternative is the cafeteria on the 3rd floor. This is the place where staff, students, and visitors alike grab coffee or some food. When I was a student here, we use to pick-up something here on our way to class at the diamond centre. Nothing's change as I see new students doing the same. The coffee is decent and the selection of food is good. Lots of sandwich options along with sausage rolls, samosas, etc. They can reheat items in the microwave for you. You're here because of convenience. It's biggest selling point is that so keep in mine.
