Quiet area. Unless you have a boat and are starting your fishing day. Campsites are clean, some very small. More of a boating place then anything.

Caddy Lake is an absolute treasure of the Earth. The synergistic union of the eager, happy people who run the resort, the respectfully clean upkept grounds and buildings within this sacred gem of Canada you've got yourself a great blossoming gift for yourself and your loved ones you choose to enjoy this place with.

Price too high for the older outdated cabins. No toilet paper supply on hand in cabin. Sinks & especially the shower desperately need to be replaced. Couch low to the ground , flooring is very worn . If it’s just a place to crash overnight great but if weather is cold/rainy not a cozy to stay in cabin.

Great place to rent a canoe or kayak and go through the tunnel to your own shore. Campground is nice too. No/ very little wifi reception.

They have kayaks, canoes and boats to rent on location. Rented a motor boat and went through 1st tunnel. Went a bit more towards 2nd tunnel but the excressive weeds in the water gets tangled in the rotor blades quite a bit. Unless you are ok to lift the motor and clean it up each time wouldn't recommend using a motor boat. Also you could put in reverse gear and some of the weeds might come free without the hassle of lifting the motor(learned this trick by chance). We ended up turning back before the 2nd tunnel due to excessive weeds. There are some rocks near the Surface at some points which are marked on the map. You have to really pay attention to those othrwise might end up damaging the motor and paying for the damages(owners keep a damage deposit). All in all fun activity going through the caves with safety as 1st priority.

Review is for boat rentals and the tunnels. They have various types and sizes of boats, with or without motors.Drivers license required and some forms need to be filled out. They also give you a quick intro on how top operate the boat and things to watch out for. Was a bit nervous since I've never driven a boat but got the hang of it quickly. We decided to paddle through the tunnels because I wasn't confident in my driving. In hindsight, maybe we should have slowly motored through like the others because it was slow goings with the heavy boat. Beautiful Canadian shield scenery. Saw a lot of backcountry camping spots throughout and/or people hangin out on the rocks. As for the resort area, there are picnic tables and a small beach while you wait for your turn on the boat. You can rent for whole or half day. My thinking is if you plan to not rent the motor boats, and want to visit the tunnels, maybe whole day is better because it's quite a long way on a kayak. Could easily spend a whole day here though, no matter what you decide.

We rented canoes to paddle to Caddy Lake Tunnel. The staff were friendly and professional. The equipment was in good shape. The prices were reasonable. A very enjoyable day. The tunnels are well worth the trip. We also stopped for lunch at Boutilier Island which was really nice.

I stayed in cabin 3 over the summer for a week. The location was fantastic, it was busy on the weekends because they share a beach with one of the public beaches, but it quieted down during the week. Cabin 3 does need a bit of love, the door lock was sticky which we reported to the staff in the store, the shower floor felt a bit soft and the spray out of the showerhead was pretty weak, likely the result of hard water buildup. Boat rentals are right in the store, we spent a ton of time in kayaks and on paddleboards and only had challenges getting kayaks once due to how busy they were, which was on us for not booking ahead. The staff working in the store were great, the guys working the boats on the dock were equally great. We're hoping to return next summer.
