Cool place. Went with my sister and checked out all this neat little shop. Owner was cool and friendly. His dog was cool.

Ulrich, the Curator, is an absolute teddy bear of a man and is lovely to talk to. Awesome place to go with a friend or two for a fun palm reading or for a game of D&D. Fair prices and features a haunted doll. Very girl-friendly, too, especially for a “nerdy” environment.

Ive been here before and really enjoyed their cool selection of games and thought the owner was very friendly as well. However when I went back with my brother to show him their awesome stock, I didnt realize they opened at 12:30. So we had turned off the car and sat in the car waiting for them to open. We were parked at the next avaliable spot infront of the buisness right after the bus only lane that prohibts you to park behind me. A few minutes later I noticed a car pull behind us and then honk to get our attention to move up for them. Even though there were 0 cars infront of us and they could of easily pulled in instead of choosing to pull behind us and end up in a prohibited parking spot, then have the entitlement to where a stranger is suppose to cater to you and start their ignition solely for the purpose to pull up for you? Just so you dont have to put in any effort to park? I then noticed it was the owner, the mom and son that ive met previously when visiting their store to buy a board game. They had gotten upset that we dared to think it was more reasonable for them to just pull up infront of us and the mom cussed out and they both gave us comical death stares when they got out. I told my brother to just start the car and leave. After seeing the owners act that way I felt like I shouldnt support their buisness. Once we started the car to pull away, the son said "youre gonna start it now?" I dont believe they knew we were potential customers that were planning to visit their buisness or recognized me from before when I had bought a chinese chess set from them. Either way.. it sucks. I love supporting local and small family owned buisnesses. As they deserve more recognition. I hope the owner reads this one day and can maybe reflect on the way they both reacted to the situation. Update: Key was out of ignition and car was off. The martial arts academy was not even open at the time of this incident. It is very serious to make a false allegation like that, saying we almost hit a pedestrian. Would you like to file a report and have the buisnesses check their security cameras to see? I also have a go pro camera on the back and front of my car. I can provide that footage as well.

Nice little shop with an assortment of hobby items. Specifically went for the Magic the Gathering cards myself. The owner is extremely friendly and outgoing, A pleasure to talk to. The dog was even more friendly and just could not be part enough I will definitely be coming on my Friday evenings for Magic the gathering as it's the friendliest store withing the New Westminster area.

Awesome gaming store and fantastic owner! The dog is especially a huge plus. Finished a few of my work-in-progress modern MTG decks thanks to some lucky finds here! Can't recommend enough

The owner is as much of a nerd as his target audience, but that's part of what makes this place so nice. I discovered this place by accident and was overjoyed to find something like it so close my home. There's a wide array of items from video game character toys, board games, anime, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons And Dragons books, and more. Stop in, have a friendly chat and pet the dog. :)
