R	Ricki Gillespie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were very disappointed with our experience here. The food was mediocre at best. The sausages were ok. The eggs were premade scrambled. The ham was watery and bland. 4 whole potatoes boiled. We went early expecting a museum or some kind of educational area. We were told there was nothing but the animal farm. The animals were kept in tiny filthy enclosures. It was disgusting and heartbreaking to see how they were kept. The location was nice, with a beautiful view of the river, however they had a tractor blocking the road down to the restaurant which made it appear like it was not open. This was a subpar restaurant with high prices for what you got.
C	Connie Nie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lovely time there this afternoon. Hearty country food and fun atmosphere. You can roll your own maple syrup candies and take a horse-drawn wagon ride. The scenery is breathtaking! Notice the sign by the road—you can’t see the shack from the road because it is down the hill on the riverbank. We had to turnaround after driving pass it. But we were so glad we did!

On the downside, it gets fairly loud during supper due to the large crowd, and sometimes you wish you had more room.

We received a confirmation email that our reservation was accepted. Today, after a 50 minute drive to the restaurant, we arrived 10 minutes early to find the gate to the property was closed off. We then called to see what was going on and the individual that answered the phone was only able to tell us that they weren't open withouy any acknowledgment of our reservation. It would have been nice to receive a call, text or email if the reservation need to be cancelled. If you plan to go here, make sure you call ahead before you leave as you might waste you time, as they tend to change their schedule without notice.

Staff waiting on tables with hoodies on. It was supposed to be a traditional quebec meal with entertainment. Place was very poorly decorated for Christmas. Looked like stuff the dollar store threw out.

It's actually the place to eat and enjoy the group conversation while looking into pretty scenery of St. Lawrence river. After the meal, they will pour the maple taffy on the snow and then you can eat it like candy. There was also small farm nearby with chickens and goats. I also enjoy the horses carriage. The food is good with beans, bread, soup, saussage, potato, eggs, pancakes. The staffs were also attentive to give you refill of coffee or tea. There were also music during lunch. Great day out!
