β β β β β At first, Busque Engineering provided a quite competitive proposal, and got the job. But, then they started to charge every single document at the highest possible price. In other words, every review, change order, even emails will be charged on the highest price, like everything is done by Senior Engineer (and after 28 years in construction, I know its not).
In the end, your final price will be much higher than expected.
Conclusion:
I would not recommend hiring them.
And if you must for some reason, make sure that contract is more transparent, include all reports, permits, emails...otherwise initial contract price will be doubled.
Bad business policy, very disappointed.

β β β β β Pierre and his team are a beacon of light in the otherwise murky world of BC construction. Our late 80s home had been constructed without proper rainscreening and needed extensive repairs. Pierre and team showed us their value at each stage, and act as an overseer to the contstruction companies in this space who often omit key steps. His advice has been spot on over the years and I would highly recommend having his team run point on any major envelope project you are entertaining.
