I had them dig the basement, put septic in, grade the property and lay gravel for driveway and back patio. Always there when called with any concerns. I had concerns about the grass growing. Out of the blue Jeff sent someone to check it out. They are still working with me even after the job completed. I am so grateful to Jeff and his crew. Buckhorn Sand and Gravel YOUR THE BEST!!!! If you are in Buckhorn or surrounding area and need a septic or grading or gravel or many other jobs give Buckhorn Sand and Gravel a call. They were very professional and understanding of what was needed.

They have been prompt to come and give an estimate and they are usually very close to that amount unless a surprise problem ensues. This fall, in spite of all the landscaping being done in the Buckhorn and surrounding area, they did come to finish our project in October\November before winter set in. The crews were very friendly, listened to what we wanted and did an above acceptable job, IE, very good. We will have them back this spring when the snow melts and finish the project. The best recommendation would be on our lakeside dead end road, there are only 10 lots and houses. While doing ours, they were also doing two more very large projects on the same cottage road and one will not be finished until the spring melt like ours. That is the best recommendation that I can give. A feather in Jeff's cap!!

S	Sacha W on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called to arrange for some sand for our beach. Very pleasant to deal with on the phone. They called ahead to let me know sand was on its way. That's when the trouble started. Driver was very careless when maneuvering on the property and took out a brand new fence post - and didn't stop. Continued on down the driveway towards the beach and fully careened into a tree causing a large gash in the tree. Dumped the load and proceeded to get stuck. The load of what was supposed to be clean sand consists of clay, dirt, roots, and rocks up to the size of my fist. It was supposed to be clean, screened play sand. I called the company the next morning and spoke with Jeff the owner. Said he was going to charge me by the hour for the time it took to get his truck unstuck if I wanted him to look at the broken fence post or the cost of the arborist to try and save the old tree that they drove into. Jeff was very defensive about the property damage. Not apologetic at all about the quality of his product. They charge you by weight, not volume, so the weight of all the extra rocks, mud and clay greatly diminishes the actual sand you get. In the end it looks like I'm stuck with poor quality product on my beach and the cost to clean up their damage to my property. Stay away from these guys if you want a quality product and some customer service. Doesn't seem to be part of their business plan!
K	Krista mckee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ got our septic tank emptied by a driver of this company. he said he got what he could. told me it was broken before he was even near the lids. after asking me if I knew anything about septic tanks. he didn't even empty out the tanks. he was here for a total of 15 minutes. we just got another company to empty it 4 weeks later, other company said they weren't emptied fully before. the other company was here for 45 mins emptying them compared to the 15 mins of sand and gravel. not a happy customer.

I worked all weekend making sure I was ready for it they called me just before delivery to tell me they don't carry the material in my local pit and its going g to cost 200$ more if I want the material. I get accidents happen but find out just before delivery I think the bare minimum would have been to split the cost difference. I get they wouldn't make much if anything now on this load but instead for my future ill keep ordering from Youngs.
