Brookfield Residential in The Orchards - Edmonton

This is my first time building a home, and it had been absolutely horrendous. My husband has had the privilege of building 2 others, and even he is appalled. The sales team initially exceeded our expectations, and we were very excited to be choosing Brookfield. We found a home design we loved, and enjoyed choosing all the interior selections and upgrades. Our experience immediately went downhill once we started the building process, and has continued to be extremely unpleasant. There appears to be a complete lack of project management, as not a single deadline has been met since the build began. We were one of the first lots purchased on our street and will be one of the last to move in. Other builders began their builds almost 2 months after ours, and are complete, which makes it highly unbelievable when we hear excuse after excuse as to why we are experiencing constant delays. They have had zero accountability, and have not offered any solutions to rectify their errors in any way to keep us happy. Our initial move in date was the end of September/21, and now they can’t even promise us that we will be in by the end of the year. We have tried to call the construction manager numerous times and left multiple messages and he has not returned a single call. This has truly been the most disgraceful service I have ever experienced and I wish we had chosen Homes by Avi instead.

Seems like a really nice community with lots of walking trails, good architecture and close to all amenities.

Brookfield residential is the builder of our home. We were very excited to be investing in a new build and we had hoped Brookfield would provide quality services, professional workmanship, and an amazing neighbourhood for us. In stead we were given a home with consistent issues arising. For the first 6 months we had trades coming in every other week to fix flaws and quality control issues that they had not bothered to check for or address before we took possession. After settling in our house, our 1 year warranty was coming up. Instead of providing us with a guide or checklist in order to look over all areas that would no longer be covered by warranty, we were told to just “look around” and after the warranty expired we found issues that we wouldn’t have found sooner, had we known to look. On top of this the trade workers at Brookfield are as unprofessional as they get. While out with our dog, a worker was walking behind us, quickly gaining on us in a helmet, and carry large materials. He was scaring my dog who became frozen, refusing to move, barking for this man to back off. After asking him multiple times to stop walking and give us space so I could move my dog. He said he was in a rush and to make him move. After telling him again I couldn’t move him until we got more that 1 meter for space, the guy proceeded to swear at me and tell me he had places to be. This level unprofessional attitude was not expected and completely surprising. Instead of living in a happy, friendly neighbourhood, we will constantly be in this sad neighbourhood with a pitiful excuse for a okay ground. Constantly scared and worried about how the trade workers will treat us, and also wonder when our house will just fall apart. Brookfield will always be a regret for us. If you are thinking of choosing them as your home building, please go with Excel or any of the other builders in the area. Anything is better than Brookfield.

Stopped by the Robson and loved the house. Shamal gave me excellent information for lots that will be available in the future that will fit with what I am looking for. Very welcoming and informative staff!

Courtney provided the most wonderful customer service experience! We were walking through the neighbourhood and stopped in. She answered all our questions and left us feeling great about our housing search, and she'll be our first stop when it comes time to buy.

I love the community, architecture and features and the ammenities around it. Specially all the walking trails and pathways and architecture. Went to see the builders in the sales village and that is a really nice concept where we can find all the info in one spot.
