This school has been amazing for our kids. They love going there and are happy with the teachers. We had problems getting the schedule set this year but it is done now and seemed to be more of a problem for the parents anyway. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a quality education.

It has been the best decision we made to send our son to Brookes. The school is supportive and communicative. It is a friendly and safe environment. The teachers go above and beyond engaging and helping the students. I can't wait to send my daughter in grade 6! Awesome!!

A great school! Very modern buildings which incorporate views of, and access to, the surrounding nature. The location is close to amenities, while still remaining safe and private. An ideal place for learning, and living!

I want to talk about my experience at Brookes since I would have wanted to know all of this about Brookes before arriving. I used to go to Brookes and overall the experience was okay, I know from people who absolutely hated it but to be honest the only reason I can say it was okay was because of the people living with me and the dorm parents that actually cared about my wellbeing. To begin with they don’t have a 24 hour nurse so the only time that there was an available nurse was while the day students were in the school, we didn’t even have a nurse on weekends which concerned me because there was no one to help you. Some of the teachers can be rude and disrespectful which surprised me because i had never had teachers in my life that would talk to me like that with a really bad attitude and very little experience in being teachers. Something I noticed while I was at Brookes is that they only care about your money, not about your mental health or how your experience is there, there was no one that ever asked me bout how I was doing because I felt like they never cared about me and it made me sad because that was where I lived at but I didn’t feel like anyone cared but the dorm parents did the best they could possibly do to help us with our problems. I think that the food wasn’t good at all, it made me sometimes sick because it also had no flavor and always repeated the food, it was fine until it started to actually affect my weight. I do think I made some nice friendships and with day students too but they say there’s many and there’s not that many but they’re nice. Overall I do think being at Brookes is not worth it, for the money thats getting paid and the treatment you receive from some people who have a lot of control over the school, I do think that this school is not a great option and I was scared to tell my parents since I did not want them to think it was my fault but it still has nice things about it, its a small school and I did have some good experiences from it but I just think its not worth it at all.

Where do I begin... the teachers are horrible and simply read off a PowerPoint, not caring about their student's personal growth and learning, and only being concerned with money. I had a friend who went here for two years and according to him, he wrote a negative review and the administration forced him to delete it. My friend developed severe insomnia as a result of other students staying up past their curfew time (often blaring music and running around the halls). It seems as though many students and dorm parents do not care about personal duties and responsibilities. If hell truly exists, this school is the closest thing to it... PS: the food is terrible.

Reading some of the bad reviews does not make much sense to me, my experience has been 100% the opposite. This is an IB school, your kid has to work hard to obtain the best results. Yes, the teachers will push your child to be their best, that is what this is all about. If you are looking for an easy way to get a HS diploma for your kid, then this is not the place for you. My kid has been here for 4 years now (since day 1) and I personally like and agree with the teaching, the knowledge and the sense of responsibility that the kids are thought on a daily basis. Nothing comes to anyone without effort or are they entitled to anything in life, they all have to work hard and have pride in their achievements and not to expect rewards without sacrifice. I do recommend this school if you want to give your child the best opportunity in life. My kids education is the most important gift I can give them, but we all have our priorities.

This is an amazing school- the academic rigor is outstanding! The teachers and administration staff are all incredible- they really care about the kids. The staff are creative, hard working, and dedicated to excellence in education across all the varied subjects. Our two kids are very happy here and love the volleyball and basketball programs- but are also learning to think critically. It would be challenging to find a better school to prepare them for University and to give them the tools to become successful in their future endeavors!
