We love visiting the Bronte Creek campground in the fall. The weather is cooler making the camp fires that much more enjoyable. The leaves are falling and the landscape shows off it's best highlights. Two of the campground loops are closed making for wonderful walks. Less crowded, less noise, less hurried...less is more.

The most noticeable thing you realize about Bronte Creek Provincial Park when pulling up to the park entrance is that you pay based on the vehicle for day-use, regardless of number of occupants in the vehicle. Our fee was $17.00; Daily Vehicle Permit. There are many walking/hiking trails, a 1.8 acre outdoor swimming pool (extra fee unless you’re 3 and under), a children’s farm and play barn, lots of picnic areas, and a model airplane field just to name a few things. What a big difference it is temperature wise relaxing under huge trees within this beautiful park compared to standing out in the open. We’re here for a multi-family outing of food, refreshments and relaxation! **** UPDATE....yes, it is an important point so I'm updating/not deleting my post with the reply received unedited from the Park after my original post: Thank you Leonard - glad you found value in your park visit. People reading this should note that this review is about our DAY visit or Day activity area. (not camping which this business listing is about). The $17/ car is a great value to families who fill their vehicles and plan to spend the day. We also offer seasonal and annual permits -- valid at ALL Ontario Provincial Parks. More info found on our website... link in bio.

Awesome place. Well prepared camp grounds with great staff. Both times we've been it has been calm and quiet, and the camp site has been clean and tidy.

Plusses: generous, woodsy sites and friendly staff. Great showers (but not many of them). Negatives: nowhere to swim/cool off due to Covid, washrooms need cleaning, garbage on sites, garbage drop off overflowing, playground is outdated and tired looking. Also, staff don’t answer the phones, so if you have a question or need help quieting a noisy night neighbour, good luck.

Our first camping trip and actually our first campground! What a great experience. We stayed in one of the Yurts (Site 201). Lots of room to pull in or back in our motorhome. Super friendly staff. Very clean park, showers, washroom. Everything was absolutely perfect. The only bad thing was the price of the firewood. $10 for a small bag is a little too much. The office closed kind of early too (5pm) Other then that, this was a great campground. Very good location. Close to all amenities, take out food, gas stations etc. The dumping station and water fill up spots were clean as well. No wifi in this park. However, very good signals for our cell phones.

Pros: Very clean park. Washrooms were clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly. The trail to the creek from campground is gorgeous. We stayed in the noise-free area and loved it. Cons: The amount of firewood sold for 9.95 was small. There are some tick areas to avoid.

Bit of a mixed bag. Mon to Thurs the park is great! Quiet & relaxing. Sites are generously sized with 15/30 amp svc. Clean & well maintained grounds. Roadways are generally pothole free. Some sharp 90° turns may challenge larger (35'+) rigs. Many trails to explore! Lots of play equipment for kidz to enjoy. Showers/bathrooms were very clean! They even post a cleaning schedule! Flush toilets & potable water throughout the park. Park staff were always friendly & courteous! Free access to the massive day park on the other side of the creek. You can even view the entire campground with Google Street View!! Downside. Weekenders. Multiple dogs barking day & nite. Kids screaming constantly- even though I wasn't anywhere near a playground. People @ 2am shouting (mom I forgot the toothpaste) on the way to the bathrooms, I had my windows open @ nite. The Warden's were pro-active & made regular rounds. They did what they could. But other campers & constant barking dogs were awful. If your looking for a quick getaway & don't want to drive far, or you have barking dogs & loud kidz this is your park. If you want mostly peace, relaxation & plan to stay over the weekend, go elsewhere. This was my first visit. I've enjoyed many other Ontario Parks Campgrounds. Majority are fantastic. But I doubt I'll ever return here. It's unfortunate....

It's a very good park for both day use or spending a few nights and soak in some fresh air. You can do many fun stuff, like camping using private and semi-private spots; hiking, biking or mountain biking using hiking trails with different length and level of difficulty; You can also use the flat unleash area for your dog to have fun all they want. They also have washrooms and showers beside the campsite. Nice spot for all family members from different generations to picnic, be active and have fun.
