One of the best spots in Ottawa! I had a brisket sandwich and it was definitely one among the better ones I have tried. The smoked chicken is delicious too. The veggies are on point as well. Definitely going to be frequented a lot more in near future.

Today, I was the customer I swore I'd never be. I went in last minute and had an enormous order, and I am so sorry to the workers and the people who ordered after me. My big family was dying to try and they sent me last minute on a busy Saturday evening! Now I know to order ahead of time. That being said, holy smokes what a fantastic meal. Their chicken is so dang good - and I just want to say, I love my chicken... but their cauliflower (among the other veggies on their platter) are fabulous. The delightful smokiness from the green eggs was just so fantastic and delicious, truly reminded me of my childhood. This is how chicken (and veggies) ought to be made always. We also got the potatoes, roasted beet salad, fries and coleslaw - all equally delicious! Like I said above, I had ordered our big order last minute - everything was hot, fresh and delicious. The food came out on time, and the staff was very friendly and helpful and patient. Needless to say, we will definitely go back! .. perhaps we'll order in advance next time, again sorry!!

As soon as you step inside you feel welcome. The service was fantastic and very friendly. The smell is just out of this world good and gets your appetite going. The open kitchen concept with the green eggs is also inviting. All this to say, by the time you sit at the table you are ready to go through their entire menu. We tried the bbq chicken, side of roasted potatoes along with mac and cheese. The chicken was juicy and tasted like chicken cooked low and slow on those green eggs. The mac was also pretty good with the addition of pickled goods on top for an extra crunch, it was satisfying. The potatoes were slightly sweet but somewhat came out on the bland side. The portions were huge! The 3 stars review doesn't come from a bad experience. Its a very good 3 stars! The problem comes from my perception. It is what I do at home, my bird skin is crispier, my mac is slitghly cheesier, it really tasted just like mine. I would strongly suggest everyone to give it a try but ultimately to me, it was a good backyard bbq experience at the cost of restaurant premium. When I eat out, I am expecting more than what I can cook at home and for that very subjective reason, I cannot give 4 stars. If your looking to taste a good smoked bird, this is the place. The mac is also worth it and I might drop by at time if I feel like having mac but don't feel like cooking it. On a side note, I noticed people orders to take out. I don't feel like this kind of food would travel well. With the smell and service, this place is clearly a sit down to enjoy and relax IMO.

The delicious aroma of smoked meat is the first thing that hits you when you walk in. The food was tasty, staff are friendly, and the service is quick. The dishes are fairly simple; nothing extravagant, but good meat! Thanks for a great meal.

I went the Brine and Grill on Wednesday night for dinner with my family. The gentleman greeting us was extremely friendly with a big smile. He seated us and brought us the menus and water right away. The menu is short and perfect, a few items and they do them extremely well! We were able to try most of the items on the menu; Chicken, Brisket, pulled pork, Mac and cheese, coleslaw, potatoes, pasta salad, pickles and the cauliflower steak. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Those big green egg grills cook perfectly! I really recommend this restaurant for everyone to try, and you must try the Mac and cheese and chicken, I must admit it is much better then moms!

Brine and Grill has great chicken, y'all. They're in the soft opening phase so I hustled down to test it out. The hand-cut fries are a bit spiced but it's not overdone or insulting. This is the first spot in Canada where they're cooking indoors with Big Green Eggs. The chef asked if I wanted white or dark meat and then chops it right in front of you. The chicken was tender and juicy with great smoke colour (ring) and tasty skin. The outside is dulled from the long cook BUT once you cut it, it's just wonderful. Bark has a great flavour. Combo came with a premium soda, too (I chose black cherry). Priced very fairly at $13.50.

The first thing is, you get a blast of the smells of Ribfest. It was such an embracing aroma. I ordered the 1/4 chicken meal with slaw and the grilled heritage carrots. My partner got the medium Mac n Cheese with pulled pork and the beets salad. We each got a milkshake also. Everything was delicious. The chicken was smoky and the skin was crispy. Juicy all the way through. Make sure to get a cup of their gravy to dip into. The carrots were incredible. I wasn't sure what to expect but it definitely exceeded expectations. They tasted like little torpedoes made of a mother's love. I would go as far to say that no matter what my meal choices are next time, that I would order the carrots. The Mac n Cheese was very creamy and generous in portion size. The beet salad helped in cleansing the pallet for another go. It's definitely worth your time to check out this lovely restaurant. The staff were really friendly and I can't wait to see them again when I visit next.

The pictures can't do this justice. I'll make sure to update this with better lighting in the future, as I will definitely be back very soon! The chicken was out of this world. Wonderful smoke flavor throughout, great seasoning, and not dry by any means. The potatoes were soft and caramelized, both smoky and slightly sweet. Photos really can't capture the mac and cheese properly for some reason...it's legitimately creamy, packed with flavor, but not too heavy. The beet salad was wonderful, and the arugula complemented it perfectly. The pulled pork was perfection...a good amount of smoke, a slight sweetness, and just a bit of acidity to round it out. The brisket was packed with flavor. What's more? Their prices are insanely good. I could easily see myself paying 50% more and still consider it a reasonable price. I have no criticisms. Nothing but praise for the meal I just had. To say it exceeded my expectations would be putting it lightly. This might be a top 3 in the city.
