I love this small piece of history. In a cove at Gabriola Island across from Mudge...orcas, dolphins, otters and eagles feed in these waters. Lovely truly lovely!

Really neat historic beach, lots of old bricks along the water , probably why they called it brickyard beach.

Obviously named as thwre was a scattering of bricks around the beach. Definitely not the best beach on Gabriola Island.

Great place to launch a kayak. Saw orcas just south of the beach!

Favourite beach on the island so far. Tonnes of historical bricks (hence the name) and lots of oyster shells. Great for shell collectors. Easy to find, lots of parking.

There are so many red bricks on the beach with history of Nanaimo. Also find many huge Oysters. It's not the best beach but no one will ddisappoint.

This is probably not a beach you would go to hang out but it’s a nice place to see for once and ponder about the history of the region! There are a couple of benches on the side though so you can also picnic if need be. It’s hard to find a full brick, which I think is mainly because the visitors take them as souvenirs! But if you look closely you might find a full brick!
