When you talk to him you know that he is listening and you feel heard. This is incredibly important when sharing private information and I truly appreciate this about him. He's as real as it gets. There, he helped me to explore the reasons I had found myself at the end of a long struggle with Addiction and "family of origin" trauma. He was there at my rock bottom, and since I completed my treatment, I have stayed in close contact with him over the past three years of contented sobriety. We work together now to continue the work that we started 3 years ago. Through Talk Therapy, as well as Mindfulness, Meditation, Visualization, and Hypnosis Techniques, I have noted a marked reduction in anxiety, and many other chronic behavioural challenges that I used to struggle with. Having Terry as part of my health care team has been absolutely critical for me, and I am so lucky to have been receptive to the help he offered me way back at that Treatment Centre on that first day. I personally work with him and I always leave with my held high also with a better day ahead. I trust and believe he has a deep passion for what he does. All my life I would always avoid counselors/therapists but Terry most definitely makes you feel like home and one of his. I will use his experience/suggestions in my day to day life unless I did not believe them to be true. Most of the time if not all the time he is correct and finds the deep root to what's really going on he has tons to offer and much much more.
