★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is old school, and I mean that in the best way possible. They have a huge selection of fresh and frozen seafood. I purchased 2 lbs. Of Mussels, a half pound of Japanese previously frozen thawed scallops, and 4 frozen Rock Lobster tails. The mussels and scallops tasted like they were just picked from the ocean. Super fresh. The rock lobster tails were incredible. Lots of meat in those tails. I highly recommend this spot for your seafood needs. It was a little expensive (the rock lobster tails were about $20 each), but you get what you pay for and everything was of superior quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Picked up 5 lobsters last week at Boyd’s. My first time there. How can I complain? The service was great. The lobsters were lively. I was in and out in a flash. I’m going back soon because they’ve got a ton of other inventory there. Yum!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They advertise fresh seafood is always served, yet it can never be fresh unless it is right from the ocean to plate.
Fish and chips,
Chips are not crunchy
Fish batter is crunchy but saturated with oil, this tells me the are recycling oil as it looses its stability and saturates what they deep fry.
Will never eat there again.
Sorry,
I know times are tough for us all,
But please use fresh oil when cooking so food doesn't taste or smell stagnant

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store has a small selection of almost entirely previously frozen seafood. The vast majority of seafood should never be frozen, period. That lack of respect for the products being sold is bad enough that I'd never go there again.
I MIGHT pay $35/lb for fresh scallops still in their shell a half hour after being caught, but to charge that for previously frozen garbage is ludicrous. I'm amazed that this place is in business.
Worse than that, to have the person working there insult my intelligence by trying to tell me that their massively overpriced previously frozen scallops taste just as good as fresh ones is an inexcusable outright lie that shows either profound ignorance towards seafood or a fundamental lack of respect for both seafood and the customer.
Not only would I never go back, but I'll tell anyone I know looking for good-quality seafood to go somewhere, almost anywhere, else. Very, very disappointed.
