★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This "community" centre is not so community orientated it seems not all are welcome to use it's services. While it also offers a day program for children I would not like to see my kids or grands kids take part in it, the staff seem to think it is perfectly acceptable to let the children play in the off leash dog park full of germs and bacteria.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took one star off for city construction making it difficult getting in and out. Soccer pitch was in good shape for the kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good dog park. Dogs can swim in the Assiniboine in the summer, and a good starting point for walks in the river in winter.
Added bonus: Great sledding hill for the kids and you can bring your dog.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I often take my dog to this pleasant, out of the way off leash dog park along the river. Shady, with benches and picnic tables and a shoreline where you'll see people fishing sometimes. Not fenced, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. There's also a community club, two walled outdoor hockey rinks, and the St. James lawn bowling club.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looks like a nice place for skating and hockey in the winter. Seems to be closed during the day in summer, but there is a nice park near by.
