Was fun! Brought our 10 month old on the trail in her toboggan. Nice, easy trail and mostly sheltered.

Great short hike. Stroller friendly. Went with six adults, 5 kids (aged 1 mo- 7 yrs) and all enjoyed!

This used to be a great trail for kids and beginner hikers alike. However, the condition of the signage and bridges clearly demonstrates neglect. Shame on Parks Canada for letting this level of deterioration occur. They even let the sign on the southbound highway fall down.

I walked the Boreal Trail on the morning of May 9, 2021. This is such a charming and pretty, 1 km looped trail. It’s short but cute and very scenic! The trail starts by leading to a wooden deck with beautiful views looking out to Jackfish Creek and the grassy landscape. This is a gorgeous place for photos! It continues in a loop through a mix of forest and marshy areas on the gravel path and along boardwalks. This is a very peaceful trail and there are great views along the way. Very easy and flat. I have read that this is an area where moose can be spotted but we didn’t see any signs of wildlife. Would definitely recommend this trail for a relaxing and scenic walk!

Parks Canada does a remarkable job introducing everyone to nature’s gifts, and this trail is a perfect example. A truly magical, reflective journey for all ages.

Wonderful trail in Riding Mountain. Short and easy to navigate. Lots of information plaques along the trail that talk about the ecosystem and the animals that reside in this type of forest. We came upon it by chance while driving north through the park. Its well tracked through the snow in the winter months. Haven't been there in summer yet. There are moose and elk in this area - you might see one. We were able to walk it in our boots without snowshoes.
