LIQUID OF THE GODS Boombox knows how to brew overwhelmingly thick murky beers of superiority. Not for the faint, weak drinkers step aside.

Boombox is a gypsy brewing company, meaning they use another brewery's space to brew their beer. There is no tasting room at this location - you'll only find Parallel 49 brewing.

One of my favourite beers in Vancouver. Nice place to drink some beers an eat something. Tables outside and a store to take your cold beer cans home.

Disregard what Flectcher said, it makes no sense why he would review this company as one star? The beer is phenomenal and, yes, it's totally available at Parallel 49 both in the tasting room and to buy. Yes, they brew out of Parallel 49 but that's because their beer is so good and Vancouver rent is ridiculously expensive. This concept has also worked for Superflux at Strathcona so maybe do some research before posting a inane review like that. In this era, there is no excuse to not research. You can exactly find out what you need to know and I guess that's your problem that you weren't clued up before going there. I mean they are on social media and have a website.

I fell in love with Boombox's Arcade Glow the first time I tried it. The label drew me in and the beer was delicious. I'd only had it a few times before it disappeared from my local liquor store shelves... Fast forward to two months later, it was back, but something was wrong. The label was clearly printed cheaply with detail suffering, I knew it looked better than that before and pulled up a pic. Before and after included for comparison: Scanlines are gone, metallic blue gleam is muted, and you can see newsprint-style pixelation in the outline of the arcade screen. (The colors themselves are the same, just different lighting in my pics.) Worse than that, I didn't enjoy the taste quite as much anymore. It's still pretty decent but not what I remembered. I can't be 100% sure it isn't just my own flawed human perception getting suspicious after the label change, but it seems to me the beer itself suffered the same budget cuts. Hey, I get it, maybe it wasn't as profitable as they'd hoped and they had to trim somewhere. Me, I'm still sipping hoping for a return to the old glory.
