Great bouldering gym with very helpful staff and overall a great community. Majority of people are more than willing to help and keep the gym positive. Extremely excited for the new location as well!

Fairly equivalent to any of the other major bouldering centers in Calgary and generally quite busy. It is cold inside, but I personally prefer it.

Great environment for meeting people who are into bouldering. The building isn't too big, so the crash mats are a bit smaller than what I'm used to. Some of the smaller holds are full of chalk, which makes it hard to differentiate between gray or white. Overall, I had a great time! There were a diverse range of climbers, so it was super easy to start a convo!

This gym is great for bouldering one of the best in Calgary even. Membership’s are cheaper than competitors, friendly staff. **Come on the weekend it’s less busy** The Cons: However at this gym I find the route setting to be quite inconsistent. V1, V2, and V3 are the most inconsistent. The routes are quite hard (V3’s here I find equivalent to V4’s elsewhere etc) The Pros: The gym is cold which at first seems like a negative but once you start climbing it’s wonderful because you don’t overheat. Large variety in routes most feel unique Friendly environment

Bolder climbing community is the best example of what a climbing gym should be. The inclusive feeling happens the moment you walk in, whether your a beginner or advanced climber... you will be cheered on regardless of what you climb. I have climbed for almost 2 decades and have experienced many gyms across Canada and the USA and this is the place that sets the bar for all other gyms to strive for. The setting is fantastic and challenging, its not commercial setting and it shows... it has aesthetic appeal, challenges the mind, and demonstrates their passion for pushing climbing in all directions. Bolder is a community above all else, that welcomes everyone and will spark the desire to take up climbing, or push it to that next level.

An excellent place to do some climbing. As the name might suggest, this place is bouldering only (no ropes necessary!). If it's your first time they have rental shoes and easy areas. If you're a seasoned climber, they have tons of advanced routes as well as a moon board. Kids are welcomed with an adult counterpart. One of the only family-friendly climbing gyms around - they even have rental shoes for 2yr+! The staff is great and the vibe here is super laid back.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Just wish they would turn on the heat. It’s always freezing, below any comfort level. And brushing the holds regularly would ensure a more enjoyable climb for clients. This should be done by the facility not by clients mid-workout. Overall, the place has a good vibe.

Such a welcoming atmosphere to get started with climbing. Tons of route options and a safe space for any person to learn and improve. Staff is super friendly and the facilities are super well maintained. Always worth the drive from the NW to the SE just to climb.
