Came after watching Not Just Bikes. 82.4 Million for 1000+ Parking Spaces. 1 Train Platform, 4 Trains. A very wise way to spend tax payers money in 2021.

If I was a car, I'd rate this 5/5 hands down. I mean look at the ocean of space there is to park! Its quite literally a concrete funpark! The only thing is...I'm a person...Destroying acres of green land and replacing it with a giant, empty parking lot that is only realistically accessible by car defeats the purpose of commuter transit. Metrolinx is a bit confused but he's got the spirit. Just don't forget to build stuff for people, not my car...

You need to lower your expectations. GO's Richmond Hill line has a lot of CN Freight trains so this line isn't going to receive a lot of service off peak like the Stouffville or Barrie Lines nearby. This station is located on the greenbelt, therefore there won't be any development nearby and which is why it's like a parking garage and a train station had a baby. The unpainted pillars of the parking give it a drab look from inside, but otherwise, lot of glass and natural sunlight along with the view. There is a bike lane on Bloomington Rd, that ends next to the station and bike racks. My main grip is the connectivity, it is understandable that it is peak service only but you can only get to the station by car. This isn't a GO transit problem but you have to question the logic of building another station without connectivity with local transit when Gromley station exists just 5km yonder. If there was a proper bicycle station or secured location then something like an ebike or bikes would close the last mile gap, or Metrolinx should work with YRT to at the very least offer their mobility on request, if not a local route.

What was go thinking with this concrete monstrosity in 2021? The station is little more than a huge parking structure all for one platform with almost no actual train service. Solely designed to accommodate cars and cars only. Total waste of 80 mil and design wise it's a century out of date. Whole station had an abandoned feel and I'm not sure if the parking spaces will ever see more than 50pct occupancy for the next few decades. Should've just built more dedicated bike lanes since everyone's rolling around on escooters and ebikes these days.

The development will grow too fast around the Bloomington area. just go there in 5 years and you will see the difference. government by doing this in advance will save a lot of money. doing now is a lot cheaper than later.

I just found out about this station after watching "Not Just Bikes" and honestly, I am disgusted. As an urban planner this goes against any theory I ever learned in school, actually forget that. This goes against any common sense that was ever instilled in any person's mind. This is in the greenbelt so will never service any immediate population and means that the closest users are SO far, and this will most likely not get serviced by any local bus either, anyone using it will have to drive, and there are many more parking spots than will ever be needed as well. The building could be nicer as well..

Came here from a YouTube video. O my Lord 82.4 million dollars for 1000 parking spaces, in the middle of absolutely nowhere.

Came here after watching the Not Just Bikes video on Youtube that mentions this station. Seems like a complete waste of taxpayer dollars to build an enormous parking garage with no other access besides cars. In eastern Norwalk, CT where I live, I am a 4 minute walk away from a train station that takes me direct to NYC . It has a small lot but the area is dominated by residential development. GO Transit should really be taking notes.
