★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like the attitude of the school, the focus of the positive learning environment and attention to the education of the kids, and social skills. I love the confident that is instills in the kids, ie christmas concerts, grandparents day, singing etc.. I am not a parent, but have attended this school on many occassions for events/pickup and have been nothing but impressed every time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My child went to this daycare for over a year ... I call it a daycare as we didn't see any Montessori learning before the Casa level. While my child attended, we learned that the childcare providers were hired 'off the street'. At one point, only *one* provider in the entire preschool level (3 classes at the time) had their ECE - the rest had no training whatsoever other than first aid. After meeting the providers, I wouldn't trust most of them to babysit in my home. Staff turnover was rampant and management fell into their positions because of people left. Needless to say, everything about this school was a mess.
Worse yet, we ended up pulling our child after witnessing extremely rough handling (physically and verbally) of children on more than one occasion. We reported the behaviour to head office and nothing was done except a verbal warning to staff.
These were just the big issues ... There were countless other problems: paying the monthly cost of daycare and having to essentially pay twice for all holiday weeks like March Break (maybe this is standard, but we felt it was unfair) and other dubious cost issues, our child coming home with soaked diapers and clothes, horrible rashes on my child due to poor cleaning, our child coming home without touching food all day as they wouldn't help open containers and packaging, I could go on and on.
Do your research. Ask questions.

We have a child in Junior Kindergarten (Casa 2) and grade 1 (Lower Elementary) and have had nothing but great experience with the teachers and staff. They have one of the best French Teachers in Durham Region. Our children have excelled more then we could ever have expected.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Blaisdale Montessori in my opinion, is by far the best school in Clarington. It far surpassed all of my expectations. The dedicated staff of Blaisdale work so incredibly hard everyday. The staff clearly love what they do and it shows in the happiness of the children. They create a positive learning environment and encourage children to be the best versions of themselves. The staff at Blaisdale are very knowledgeable, educated and experienced. One of the best decisions I have ever made was enrolling my daughter in this school. The principal, Mrs. Sheppard is very approachable, caring and professional and takes a genuine interest in the needs of the children. All of the teaching staff in Casa 1 and Elementary level are in my opinion the best in Clarington. I highly recommend this school.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our daughter has been attending Blaisdale for approximately 6 months and we are absolutely thrilled with the teachers and the attention to her needs by all staff.
The building is an old school converted to meet the needs of the toddler/pre-toddler programs. This has allowed our child to experience a broad spectrum of activities that she may not have had access to in the winter months.
All of the teachers are engaged in the children and with the hot lunch program Blaisdale has done a wonderful job in ensuring that we don't need to (not that you won't - all part of being a parent) worry while your child is in their care.
Would highly recommend to anyone considering the montessori, we have noticed a dramatic increase in our daughters engagement at all levels and believe in the structure that Blaisdale has provided. A strong foundation for her to continue her development and enjoyment while here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would recommend the Bowmanville Blaisdale Montessori School to EVERYONE! We have had 3 kids attend... two from 12 months. The education in all their classes is exceptional and the staff are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable! The kids look forward to going to school everyday. The transition from home to school at 12 months old was so easy! If you are thinking about daycare or school - this is the place to check out!
