β β β β β The cottage is located in a great spot, by the river, and has a nice scenic view from the deck. It has all you need for a comfortable stay with a small family. In addition to our personal items, we only needed to bring bath towels, fitted sheets and pillow cases. My kids enjoyed the amenities that were offered on site; zipline, pool and playground. They also loved having a selection of DVDs (available at the office) to chose from. We enjoyed a lot kayaking on the river. Canoes and bikes are also offered and there's always some available. There are also fire pits in front of every cottage for you to enjoy evenings by the camp fire. The cottages are just a 15 minute drive to Sandbanks beach... Cindy is very friendly and was available throughout our stay. We definitely recommend the cottage and will probably be back soon!

β β β β β Lovely time. We stayed 3 nights in the 1 bedroom "Swan" cottage. Super clean, and had pretty much everything we needed for our stay. Our 2 and 5 year old daughters had a blast at the park, zip line, and pool. The included kayaks and paddle boards were a great way to get out on the water for some fun. We can't wait to go back!

β β β β β We visited the Black River Cottages twice in the summer of 2021. The first time with my family, and the second with my wife's family. It was the perfect setting for bringing together large families. We spent most of our time playing family games in the large lawns that surrounded the cottages, or hanging around a large campfire all together. It rained one day and we were able to cram in and play board games comfortably around a large table. The cottages were clean, well-maintained with very comfortable beds for everyone. Each time we made a day trip to Sandbanks with the kids - less than 30 minutes away. The owners were very nice people and quick to respond to any requests we had. Our stays there were the highlights of our summer.

β β β β β 5 Star and more! Black River Cottages is "A home away from home". Neat and tidy, friendliest staff, and the perfect place to take your family. The firepits were great and a perfect place for kids with lots to do.

β β β β β We had a fabulous extended long weekend here at Blackriver Cottages. We came with another family and rented cottage 1 and 2 which were adjoined. This river front property was perfect. The cabins are modern, clean and well maintained. Thank you Nolene and family for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back!

β β β β β Beautiful place with a great lake view! Very clean and family friendly. The staff is very kind and helpful. Each cottage has a barbeque and a private fire pit. Kayaks are available for people who like to paddle on the lake. The swimming pool is nice and clean. There is a playground and a nice little zipline for children. We had such a fun time there.

β β β β β My family and I spent 2 beautiful nights at this waterfront resort. We couldnβt have been happier with our stay. The location is phenomenal with views of the river and bluff. We even went on a kayaking trip along the river to get ice cream! The rooms are super comfortable and the amenities are great. Our boys absolutely loved the bunk beds! We loved that we had our own bonfire pit, and that our cottage was near the pool. We have already booked a week for next year! I would highly recommend Black River Cottages to anyone looking to stay in PEC.
