★ ★ ★ ★ ★ this was absolutely delicious! we tried the qualicum (sherry cream sauce + apples, caramelized onions, bacon) and jaeger (red wine sauce + bacon, mushrooms, onions) and both were absolutely incredible. really flavourful and fantastic combination of ingredients. the cabbage was perfectly cooked and the spaetzel as well. the schnitzel was perfectly cooked - not too much batter, excellent texture… so good.
a huge menu of two pages of schnitzel options!
unfortunately they were out of the beer and wine we both wanted but the alternatives we had were great as well.
definitely would come back if i’m on the island again!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have no idea why this place has so many 5 star reviews. My dinner was not hot and whoever prepared our meals is missed the most basic cooking tecnique....seasoning. couldn't be more bland. That's not the worst part though. We weren't there very long at all and as soon as our server took away my dessert plate the host or maybe he was the owner asked us to leave because his next reservation was 15 minutes early. We didn't even have our bill yet! And the bill was huge for what you get. I will never come here again. On a positive our server was very nice and the beer was good.That doesn't make up for poor, overpriced food and getting kicked out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far the most exceptional dining experience I’ve had in a very long time!! Excellent service even with it being Deanna’s first night ? Awesome beer and wine selection! Started with the simple fresh cucumber salad ? and buttery pretzels ? then the perfect main SPARGEL and finished with the must have Apple Strudel!! If you are anywhere near Qualicum Beach you have to go here!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went hear on a recommendation by a friend and I have to say it was great. I haven't tried that much German cuisine but this has been the best I've had. I had the Jaeger Art Schnitzel with Spaetzle, and a beer of course, and was throughly impressed with both taste and portion. This place is a little on the expensive side but not ridiculous prices by any means. It took a little longer then expected to place my order for the drink and food but once placed it came out very quickly so it balances out. I also recommend trying the apple strudel for dessert it's very tasty. The location is very nice right across the road from the ocean with nice decor. Make a reservation because they are usually busy and do not have a lot of seating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I mean, yeah it's ok. Having lived in Germany, I was expecting the potatoes to be more authentic and softer rather than the regular Canadian pan fried. Also I was expecting to have a sweet side but you have to order it and it's not that great and the pricing is a bit ridiculous for it. The schnitzel was great a bit too greasy but I mean it's a schnitzel... It was still delicious! Atmosphere, is nice, love that they play German music in the background. I just wish it was more cozy, service was alright.
