Love coming to Sara! I’ve been a regular client for years. She’s quick and does an amazing job handling my hair!

Worst place I have gone. I asked her advice on what to do to my hair. Gave me a bad hair cut and charged me excessively for it. The girl that washed my hair slipped water all over my face. Burnt my scalp with the hair straightener and she lied that I was not sitting still meanwhile I was. It was such a bad experience for me. Now I have to look for someone to do something to my hair which means I will be paying another amount of money to have it done. Can't go to the office looking like a rag head.

THE WORST!!! Went here for blonde high lights , just to redo the roots. .. she ended up turning my hair orange and I had to go to an actual salon the next day i was so embarrassed. She kept blaming it on my hair?? Tried to fix it 3 times, each time making it worse and finally just giving up. She has zero time management , leaving you sitting there for long periods of time, scalp burning , water running down your back. The place in un-kept and dirty . She is delusional and very difficult to deal with in trying to get what you want . Zero custom service. please dont ever go here.

Going into the salon, you are met with a Beautiful smile and the kindest welcome, the service is very professional and always top tier she’s asks the right questions to provide the desired outcome, from the 1st day I went here, Sara’s professionalism & kindness got me hooked, sitting in her chair and under her care, Sara doesn’t just inspire you, she shows you your super power, my hair always look so good, & waxing too, I love coming here to get pampered, , Thank you Sara.

This is an honest and long review so please read. My experience here was so awful....I will never go back. The owner Sara is unprofessional, rude and has no idea how to style actual nappy hair. I booked an appointment for wash and treatment for 2PM, and no fault of mine I was 30 mins late. She didn't make a big deal so that was nice. I soon realized two others were also asked to come for 2PM too meaning she tripled booked and also had other clients there as well. At around 3:30PM I finally sat in her chair and she immediately started saying she can't detangle my hair because it's a lot of work and I can't come with my hair like this on a Saturday and it's extra charge to which I said no problem. I don't mind paying. She continued to complain and after 10 mins I said I'll do it myself. I had to sit and detangle my own hair while she did other customers. Okay fine. I took out my three month old braids and had not combed through the hair as I knew I was coming to the hairdresser. So I was not expecting that the hairdresser would rudely comment on my hair and in the presence of other customers. After I sat there detangling from 3:40PM to 4:45PM and was ready to wash, she took me to the wash station, and started washing my hair. It's now 4:45PM. My top was getting wet, and the water was cold and I tried explaining this and she told me it's not cold, then that it would warm-up and it's because I am not sitting back properly. Just totally ignored my complains. Then she put in the treatment and put me under this steamer that had hot water droplets dropping onto my skin. I was under the dryer from 5PM to 6:20PM!!!! While Sara juggled between 4-5 clients. I found all this to be quite unprofessional and unsanitary because she was the only one doing everything and jumping between clients without sanitizing. After awhile I had to come back to the front and ask if she was going to wash the treatment out of my hair. And she said she's coming. Sara then began rinsing my hair out and then placed a towel on top of it and said it's better for it to air dry.......I then asked aren't we blow drying my hair and sectioning? She told me that blow drying my hair is and extra style that she normally charges $35 for but will charge me $25....... everyone knows if you let natural hair just air dry without even sectioning it will tangle when dry. So for her to even suggest my hair air dry as it was and tell me blow it out is extra styling was posterous. And showed me that even though she is Somalian, she cannot style actual nappy hair. I told her I would not be paying extra and I'd rather leave with my hair wet. She did not even have the correct tools to comb my hair. The other ladies who had straighter hair left with beautiful curls and rollers, and she did a wonderful job with them, but Sara does not know how to style nappy hair. I told her how dissatisfied I was and she told me, "I've had it with you are the least confident person who has ever walked in here" All in all, I spent four hours at this salon for a simple wash and treatment. And during my time there I saw seven women as well getting their hair done simultaneously. Bitanaya salon is not professional, clean or time efficient. So don't visit this salon if you expect fast, friendly and efficient service. And especially if you have nappy hair.

#Lizelle Nelson It wasn't true what you said about Sara and the salon's the best place we all love to go, and she is the the interested person for all here customers she makes us feel like a friend. as we all see that day it was you probably you were late, when you came, so she has to help the people who come first, and the hire was Challenging to Manage, but Even if That, she helps you With full of Her energy. So I will say 100% the best place for everyone:) ??????????????

I personally would never go back. The hairdresser is patronizing and considers questions or particular requests a disrespect and somehow questioning her competence and not an opportunity to educate. It's like you can't give input in your own haircare. Plus she burnt my scalp. Plus she didn't even remember I had an appointment and wouldn't pick up when I tried to reach her, then picked up just to hang up. There is poor signage and unless you're a steady customer, expect to look for it for a while and the owner would rush you and disparage for being late but isn't too helpful with directions. It was a terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend it.
