Long story short they are Canadian version of DONALD TRUMP LOL. When they need you they will do what you say to them . If they don't want you . YOU ARE FIRED . Upon getting fired you will be get ripped by bison transport. $1000 for no notice fee come on your firing and you are charging $1000 no notice fees . And to all these guys who gave them 5 stars stop sucking their balls and be honest. Now they don't have work they are firing alot of peoples . One guy they gave him. A safe driver award couple of day after two or three day they fired him . We understand you don't have work but you cannot fire people not giving them any explanation why are you firing them. Any reason ?

Great place to work. They really try hard to accommodate and keep you happy. New equipment that's properly maintained.

I applied for an ad that was for a Long-Haul Reefer Truck Driver between Langley Bison terminal and US. After proceeding through the orientation, and got recruited for the position, I discovered that they assigned me to drive dry cargo to Calgary to US and back to Langley. I realized that this was not what I had signed up for. I was told that there were no reefers from Langley to US. I accepted the trips heading to Calgary. The planner not only sent me inside the city (which I am never informed of ahead of time.) I was supposed to strictly be doing Long Haul. But I was given very little detail for the location I am assigned to go to in the US. (i.e.: farm location, restriction on heavy trucks, correct address, multiple GPS Dead zones.) Because I am required to do Long Haul trucking, I supposedly get paid by mileage. The planner has been directing me into the city, which in return, changes to hourly pay. Which I am never compensated for. Without proper guidance, I was often times, forced to make my own decision, since the planner has been extremely dysfunctional. In many cases, I had to refuse delivery to locations that I felt were unsafe to go to. The planner would send me to deliver loads without proper addresses. For example, I was sent to deliver a load to the new Bison storage in Delta without even providing me with a proper address. It was an isolated area and off-road. I was extremely frustrated. I made the decision to deliver the load to Langley Bison Terminal instead. In one particular incident, I had trip to get trailer from DAMCO distribution going to Princess Auto, Calgary. The trailer was not maintained properly and the air bag exploded whilst being on the road. This required 15 hours of my time to wait for the repair team to come fix the air bag. I took matters into my own hands and carefully drove the trailer to the Calgary Terminal. The load that needed to be delivered to USA was taken by the time I delivered the trailer. I feel there is a huge lack of organization in Bison Transport. In my trucking career, I have never encountered such a dysfunctional team. It is a huge disappointment that a large company such as Bison cannot keep up with the proper equipment and maintenance. I also am extremely disappointed getting un-honest information from the recurring department at the begging and before the orientation, plus that I was left with no help on the road with a broken trailer.

Can't complain after almost 19 years driving with these guys. Safety and family oriented means I get the miles, support and home time I request. Thanks dispatch guys and gals.

Very tight Bison yard. Muddy all across and shunt service is pretty poor. I have to wait 3 hours before I get my loaded trailer and I learned from Bison drivers it is a daily issue. They have to move so many trailers to get the right one. Supervisor had the idea of it but he had bothing but excuses.

Junk company to work for; better work at Tim hortons; congested yards ; out of service equipment and nowadays a very bad name in trucking; all these awards they boast are created by their own management; All new Canadians with zero experience are hired here very easily and they Create chaos during bad weather on highways. Dispatchers /Fleet mangers have 0 knowledge/experience same as their drivers … no one stays here long/ it used to be a good company 10 years ago but now these guys are at bottom; My advise don’t spoil your life working here….
