Great course with some long tuff holes. Watch for water dangers with wind, know your disk!

Recently went through a layout-change, and has made the course a fun way to kill an hour or two depending on your skill level. New concrete pads have just been installed, and makes this course one of the best in Ontario.

Birch Point Disc Golf is an amazing course situated within the city and is free to play. It is a very well layed out course adapted around the east side of Boulevard Lake making it easy to gain access with plenty of parking available. Restrooms and seating are there but there is no near shop or vending machine to get things so plan to bring snacks and drinks! I highly recommend this disc golf course for locals and tourists alike! :)

Very nice municipal disc golf course in Thunder Bay. Course par was fair and predictable. Locals were extremely friendly. There is some cross traffic with pedestrian walk paths, but we encountered little disruption. Recommended!

A few friends told me about some courses in Canada so we drove three hours. Thunder Bay is a beautiful city and this course is one a great piece of land with a lake. When we got to the course, there was a course map on top of an old course map with caution tape and paper signage. We figured out what was what as we went which made things less than pleasurable. About half of the holes are fun to play, the other half seemed like they weren't thought out and more less just jammed into the space available. This course is in a public park with a lot of walking paths winding through it so when I came to hole #5 I couldn't believe the stupidity of a design that had a basket on an island between two paths that requires a completely blind shot. It might as well be a shooting galley for walkers. Speaking of walkers, I have played many public courses and I have never had to wait even half as long as we did that day. It's almost like the course was designed to throw discs at people walking their dogs. In all of my public course experience, I have also never seen alcohol consumption taking place in full view of the walkers with no brown bag or attempt to conceal. We had our kids with us that day and I don't see this place as a real family oriented place to play. I am giving this course a 2-star review because it's not finished and the design could be much better. I found the other courses we played in the area were much nicer. The small public course beside the school was nice as were Superior Bay View and Dragon Hill. All of the local disc golfers we met in Thunder Bay were great and were happy to travel along with us from course to course to show us around.

Beautifully located park in Current River area of Thunder Bay. Great hiking, walking and yes, disc golf. Nestled in a wonderland of naturally treed beauty. Enjoyed this park immensely. ?
