The best part for me was the leash free dog park that is not a closed in area and its on the water. I am thinking of buying a trailer for next you just for the dog park. The people are friendly and its a big park.

M	Matthew Miles on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely one of the better parks I've ever been at. Well maintained. Lots of trees. Friendly people. A fairly good mix of rules vs. allowing people to have fun. Some parks are party parks, some parks are very strict, Birch Cove strikes a fair balance.
D	Dave Marshall on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We greatly enjoyed our visit here. It is a beautiful property with plenty of mature trees and wonderful shaded sites. I don't believe that there are too many transient sites as the park is mostly seasonal, but there are a few. Ours was site 219 which was shaded and spacious but not for the novice driver if you have a larger rig, as the large trees can make backing in a challenge but very doable if you have the confidence and experience. Power and water were located at the adjacent site and there was no on site sewer which may be a problem for some campers. The owners here are fantastic and very accommodating, within 5 minutes of arriving one of the owners arrived with his full sized tractor to launch our boat which was a massive help and time saver and SO appreciated! Once launched and back at our site the same owner arrived with a 30 amp extension cord as our 50 amp cord would not reach to the adjacent site. The property is waterfront to Pigeon Lake, gorgeous and well run, the other campers all extremely friendly and welcoming. The dock system and launch are all excellent. Getting out to the main channel in the lake is a bit tricky, but again the owners were great with taking time to ensure we knew what to look out for along with points of interest on the water for our stay. All in all, excellent stay and we will definitely return!

S	Sue Robinson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Birch Cove Campground is a trailer park. It has a few transient spots, but it is a seasonal trailerpark with seasonal fees. There are docks and room for boats. We have been there now for four years. They have a very active volunteer social committee. And rec centre to hold all these activities. Lots of things for kids. We also have a lovely beach on Pigeon Lake, in the Kawartha Region. There is extra parking. They installed TV service.
