It is an untouched and non operational park. Basically you would have the park to yourself. From highway, you have to drive 4 kms inside. Road is in very bad condition. The place is beautiful and secluded.

Do not expect your average Provincial Park. Not maintained...No amenities. Just beautiful trails. Unmarked and not looked after for a reason. So don't expect fancy. Be prepared, bring water and a cell phone and just enjoy the simplicity! Found a little treasure too!

Went here for a day trip in the late fall. It really is a remote provincial parkβ€”no amenities, no clear signs for direction, not a residential area (as cottages are tucked away in small lane way far away) no ones around to ask on how in the world we could get out from there, no cell service, roads were not maintained. We meandered slow on a steep, dirt + large bumpy rocky road for about an hour with quarter of the gas tank in our car, with lost gps signal is not a joyful ride. But man, this is a treasure trove and couldn’t wait to come back & explore this area more!

As many other's have said; this is a non-operating park so there aren't any amenities which is absolutely perfect for some remote trip out to see no one else. Gorgeous sunset and many small toads. Definitely 10/10 toads and sunset.

This is a non-operating park, and you get the experience of a non-operating park. I went last weekend (May 30, 2020). There was not a person to be seen in kilometers. The road in was filled with quite a bit of water. I would not attempt the road with a low car- an SUV is best (or just hike in). There were plenty of hungry mosquitoes due to the copious amounts of standing water, trees, and tall grass. A couple minutes drive into the park gives you a spot all to yourself to pull out some lawn chairs and read (assuming you are also going to give yourself a mosquito-proof netted canopy. Might be a lot nicer to go in late season or early fall when the mosquitoes are not so ubiquitous. It would be really tranquil then.

We took Old Wagon Road to go from Hwy 118 to Baysville. We have a Corolla. Big mistake. The large rocks in the road almost made the road impassible. We were afraid that we would reach a point where we couldn’t proceed but managed to do it. Not recommended unless you have a truck that is high off the ground.

Natural and rustic right at your door, one of the most beautiful lakes ive ever seen, very few cottages, and all done in such a way to respect the natural shoreline!

The road in is very rough. SUV or truck is needed. Every time I go there I have the lake to myself. No camping allowed. No boats allowed. No atvs allowed, no hunting allowed.
