★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love living beside this beautiful conservation land. Awesome trails on either side of the river that we hike year-round. Beautiful forest and atmosphere if you're looking to get out into nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy trail... we did the green, easy trail. Beautiful views on the river. Trail is 14 km one-way, and the ruins are at the far end. There is also a moderate trail on the other side of the river, but we couldn't find the trailhead. The ruins are on the other side of the river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a fantastic hike alongside the river. The terrain is varied ranging from easy to pretty challenging. You can do a loop along one.side of the river and back on the other bit set aside the better part of the day to do so.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Trout Hollow Trail is a terrific trail with diverse riverside landscape. Well travelled but not too busy while we were there, lots of elevation for excellent views. We saw a dead deer eaten by coyotes? Nature doing it’s thing just steps from town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So sad the GSCA can't conserve the banks of Big Head River and thus have closed the trail. With sadness Ive watched trees and soil swept away year after year. This used to be my favorite trail in Meaford.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely beautiful area to take a hike, great fishing especially this time of year. Lots of tall bluffs and cliffs to get some amazing views theres photos are one concession up from the conservation area on Line 7. But the bruce trail goes for a long while im sure there are plenty of great spots to check out!
