A very educational experience from the perspective of seeing how Dunning-Kruger applies in real life. Well designed exhibits of horrible science and misunderstandings. It did hurt my heart to watch the guide indoctrinate two young children in front of their willing father. And it wasn’t even from a child-friendly lesson. It was complex government conspiracy theories. The guide, when giving the opportunity to talk to me, was extremely aggressive and in my face. Wouldn’t listen to questions. Just rambled continually.

My family stopped in Big Valley to visit the Creation Museum on our way to the Royal Tyrrell museum, from British Columbia. We staid for hours. Harry is a wealth of information, you can see this is his passion. Our visit to the Creation Museum was the highlight of our trip to Alberta.

Small museum but jam packed with I information! Nice to speak with someone who has actually been on digs and laid out very well. Would recommend for anyone that wants to know evolutionism vs creationism. The truth is in the fossils!

Excellent and very informative experience! Our guide is very passionate and yes, he is about debunking the theory of evolution and raising interest in a Creator. My in-laws, myself and my kids all enjoyed the tour and the exhibits in the small museum. We went, after going to the Tyrrell. Definitely will recommend. Our world is very diverse, and differing views and those who defend each, make it very interesting; however, lots and lots of evidence point to the falsification of the theory of evolution, and exclaim an intelligent designer. My huge takeaway is that there is proof dinosaurs were still alive and roaming the earth as late as only 3000 years ago!

This was such a fun experience! The train ride to Big Valley was exciting. We were lucky to see deer and moose on the way in. The buffet was delicious!! Big Valley was so much fun to look around and see all of the exciting and wonderful stuff.

Definitely Alberta’s best kept secret when it comes to Museums. Royal Tyrell is usually the go to for dinosaur tourists but this museum was a little diamond hidden in the prairies. We came here by making a reservation and had the guide take us through every display in detail. Very knowledgeable and very passionate about the material, you will learn an awful lot about geology, dinosaurs and evolution. It should be clear when you come in that it’s presenting from a Biblical creation model, but as I’m sure many people discover, that by no means isn’t scientific or not based on evidence. The museum is very small (no bigger than a small house) but the tour is quite elaborate. We spent about 4 hours going through everything and never felt bored (and that’s considering I’ve spent less time at Tyrell and gotten more bored). The displays are very professional, very informative, and the layout is very user friendly. It only cost each of us $5 (prices vary by demographic/group) but the tour is really worth way more than that. All of us thought the presentation exceeded our expectations. It should be noted that the many negative reviews found in various places (here, trip advisor, Yelp, etc) are commonly made by people who never set foot in the museum (the owner and guide confirmed that). It’s a long way to go but it’s a tour that’s great for families, Christians, skeptics (he’s had quite a few) and anyone who likes to be challenged in their thinking. Would recommend this to all my friends and family. :)

Thank you creationist haters for reaffirming the truth of the Bible. I just read a lot of your reviews. Many of you are upset about the creation science information that you say is “brainwashing” people and you hate and slander those of us who believe it. Perhaps unknown to you, that is exactly what Jesus said would happen to those who truly live for God. He said that we would be slandered, hated, persecuted and even killed for our faith in Him. Your hate speech towards us just simply shows the truth of Jesus’ words 2000 years ago. Besides, it is a privilege to suffer for Christ’s sake, because He out of love for us suffered such a cruel death so that we by faith in him could be free. P. S. For those who are upset at the guide himself, be fair and don’t judge all Christians by the mistakes or perhaps failures of one. Just because an apple tree may have a few bad apples doesn’t mean that all the rest will be bad as well. Even if most of them may be bad, there will still be at least a few good ones. If you like or dislike what I wrote then feel free to mail me at PO Box 328, Hines Creek AB, T0H 2A0.

Jenn and I drove in from Calgary for a day trip. Harry made a special visit and gave a few hours of his time to tour of the museum during the offseason. He took the time to go through each of the exhibits that detail the current evidence. Was nice to chat and we have enjoyed going through the books, will watch the movies next. Thanks
