Big Bob's Meats - Regina

I have been buying from Big Bob's for 30 years. Best pepperoni in town. Love the steaks, chicken, cheese...all of it. Just ordered a side a beef again as I know we are getting the best quality.

I have gotten my deer butchered here and regularly buy beef and egg's. Staff is always helpful and friendly. I always leave happy.

Had 2 deer processed here. When I dropped them off I asked them to keep the meat separated and not to grind anything; I wanted the trim bagged/wrapped and labeled as "trim". Went to pick it up and they ground all the trim and both boxes were labeled as being from the same deer. We have our deer tested for CWD, one came back positive. Which meat was from that deer? Who knows? Now it's all getting tossed. Waste of $150 because these guys can't follow simple instructions. Also found out from the operator himself that they don't clean the grinder between animals when processing wild game. So your beautifully field dressed meat could be being put through the grinder right after the meat from the gut-shot deer that came in before yours. Or right after the one that had CWD. CWD is getting very common here. Get your deer heads tested (its free!). The deer that tested positive didn't appear sick. She wasn't clumsy or drooling. By all appearances she was a fit and healthy animal. In response to Big Bob's reply: the 2 deer were shot by 2 different people, had different names on the tags and had separate sets of instructions left with you. I don't agree that it is common practice to combine 2 animals in cases like this. You also ground the meat when I explicitly asked you not to. The instructions left with your employee was to do whole muscle cuts and to bag everything else as trim. From my perspective this wasn't just a small mix up. I should've been refunded processing fees.

Will never have a beef cut and wrapped there again. Very Very poor job of wrapping. We had to completely rewrarp the compleat order.

Whenever I’m Regina I try and stop to grab some Jerky, my favourite for years now. Give it a try then try stop eating after one piece, it’s hard lol
