I'd been in Dundas at a doctor's appointment, stopped in Westdale for gas and then headed up the mountain. When I got to Gage and Fennell, I decided to pop into the Big Bee to check my lottery tickets. When I got out of the car I realized my purse was light, saw that my wallet/cellphone case was not in it and assumed I'd left it on the seat of my car. It wasn't there. I realized I had likely left it at the gas station. I ran into the store in an absolute panic. I explained to this very lovely lady that I had likely left my wallet at the gas station and asked if I could use her phone to call them. I was literally shaking. I had the receipt for the gas but it my panic couldn't find a phone number on it. She kept telling me very kindly to calm down, everything was going to be okay. She took the receipt from me - there was no phone number on it. She went to her computer, looked up the number and even dialed it for me and handed me the phone. Fortunately the clerk at the gas station had my wallet/cell phone. I said I'd be right back down. But I was still shaking. The lady kept trying to calm me down and even offered me a bottle of water. I tried to pay her for it but she said no. This lady went above and beyond. The store is a little out of the area that I usually frequent to get my lottery tickets, but this will be the only place I get them now. There are good people in the world and the lady at this Big Bee deserves a good neighbour award. I returned today, but she was not there today. I spoke with her partner who was just as kind and friendly. Thank you so much.
