Manco did an amazing job with our basement renovations. Manco is a great family-owned company that prides itself on attention to detail, and the ability to get the job done properly in a timely manner. Their quality of work is impressive. Even through the struggles of a pandemic, they delivered great quality work on a timely basis. Manco's team is amazing to work with. They are very honest, friendly, always on time, have many years of experience, and have amazing customer service skills. Their prices are very reasonable. When my partner and I were ready to add an addition to our split level home we interviewed multiple contractors. We contacted Manco as they had worked on a few other homes in our neighbourhood and we were impressed with how those projects turned out. Once we decided to go forward with Joe and Joe Jr. the process went much smoother than we could have hoped for. They were upfront with us every step of the way and were easy to contact whenever we had a question or concern. When there was something in the plans that wasn’t going to work or there was going to be additional cost, Joe worked with us to try and save money in other areas without compromising our vision. This helped us achieve what we were looking for as well as stay on budget. In the end we could not have been happier with our choice we made and how the project turned out. We have already recommended their services to several of our friends and family who were looking to have work done on their houses.

Joe and Joe Jr. did a wonderful job on our house. We had all kinds of odd requests and had a terrible time finding a contractor that would give us a quote or communicate with us in general. Manco were great communicators and completed all our requests without hesitation. Their quote was extremely fair and accurate to the actual cost. They had great feedback to help us make better decisions aesthetically, very helpful. They placed the beams in our roof, put in new windows that look great (no pictures of those yet) and made our exposed brick we found look wonderful. I would highly recommend this company.

I recently had some home renos done by Manco. From the beginning I knew they were very professional and prompt. MANCO GOOD FROM FAR, BUT FAR FROM GOOD I've been in construction 32 years, 25 in construction management and quality control. I’ve worked with the best contractor’s & tradesmen of all disciplines. I believe my background & qualifications lets me know what I’m talking about. We paid a premium custom home price & expected a premium product. What we received was an inferior product with so many flaws that we are now stuck with. In my career MANCO has the poorest quality management of any contractor I have worked with. Before you choose MANCO, please don’t hesitate to contact me to learn more of what a MANCO fine home really is. I can’t with a clear conscience recommend MANCO to build your next DOG HOUSE. What I saw during construction of my home bordered on abysmal. We paid MANCO over 600k to rebuild our home after being badly damaged by fire. 600k did not include foundation, main floor joists, sub-flooring, or electrical work. Foundation & flooring were salvageable, electrical we did ourselves as we are a family of electricians. 600k is a premium price for which you would have expected a premium job. What we were left with was far from that. There are so many flaws in the house we have to live with because to fix them properly requires most walls being replaced. Google’s limited space isn’t enough room to review all problems. Our home isn’t listed in MANCO’s gallery & I believe this is why. I don’t want you stuck with the same inferior product we were left with. MANCO designed our home. Markups were provided but blueprints never updated. Cause of Confusion to MANCO & sub-contractors during construction. Changes requested that MANCO didn’t want. Priced at inflated cost leaving us no choice but decline. A great way to get out of things. Building materials chosen MANCO didn’t know how to create. Measurements inaccurate in key locations causing conflict with construction. MANCO made unauthorized changes prior to discussing & belittled us when told changes were unacceptable. If drawings were accurate in the first place conflicts could have been avoided. Demolition On the first day our home of 24yrs was about to change from all we knew. We were disgusted by the stench of marijuana. What contractor smokes pot on a construction site? I now see where quality control comes from. No complaints from the neighbors, so MANCO was ok at something. Framing We had faith in MANCO, what a mistake. Not a straight wall in the house. Lumber used no matter how warped. Quality control in my opinion was horrible. Screws missed & driven too deep splitting wood, deck boards uneven, structure not secured. Framing is key to a successful build & I believe MANCO failed miserably. Insulation I believe the building envelope vapor barrier was not installed correctly. Poor insulation has aided in serious cooling issues. Windows & Doors JUNK All exterior doors damaged at delivery. Installed due to time restrictions with a promise of replacement & never replaced. Doors don’t seal. Doors require forced closing causing hardware to prematurely wear & strip. Doors painted to hide damage causing unsightly mess. More issues than fit in this space. All windows sized incorrectly. All have filler plates are uneven & unsightly. Poor installation. Plumbing Improper cheater vents, forced drains are awaiting glue separation and leaks, gaping holes under tubs allow water to floors below, restrictions to save 15c part. Lines un-flush & unsightly, waiver required because plumber couldn’t figure out how to connect drains. HVAC dampers unidentified & nonfunctioning, ducts not sealed, ducts that fall apart, tape is not a support mechanism. Red Green would be proud. parka required in the basement, t-shirt on the 2nd floor. 27C isn’t an acceptable temperature to cool a house Drywall Butchers. Screws & tape joints visible, popping and cracking, multiple wires damaged Trim snakes on a wall Paint coerced into using different finish to hide flaws. Cabinetry duped into poor quality materials Brick work No issues Siding Minor fixed under duress more info upon request

Manco renovated our entire main floor including kitchen and bathroom and removing a supporting wall. We could not be happier with the results! One of, if not the best companies I've ever dealt with for communicating and responding to questions or concerns. Would definitely recommend them and use them for any future work we need done. MANCO WAS INCREDIBLE!!! We have been working with home builders for 25 years and haven't came across any company with such good customer service and quality. Fully transparent and willing to above and beyond. Great communication throughout the entire process. When there was a issue they responded fast and corrected all concerns. Since we have dealt with many projects over the years we are smart enough to understand that not everything is perfect and things happen but its how you respond to these challenges that makes the difference. I can see why Manco has been in business for so many years and has so many great referrals and references. The workers were very professional while on-site and mad our family feel comfortable. I have a young son who said he wished the guys at our house would stay more often and play lol. The new windows and doors were great quality and they gave us all sorts of options to upgrade while not breaking the bank. The plumber even went out of his way to help install both hot and cold pipes for our outside so we could use it for our outdoor rink in the winter! This was a large project to renovate our home from top to bottom and i would and will be recommending Manco to friends, family and even put them on our companies top contractors list!
