D	D C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor service I called to order a diamond stone on June 24, 2020 and some honing oil for my T-8 wet grinder. I was told to buy it on line. Really a customer calls to order $300.00 worth of products and you tell me to order on line. I looked on line did a search for THE product numbers and couldn't find them. So sorry I'll order somewhere else and WILL NEVER recommend your BIG BEAR TOOLS to anyone. Have a nice life I hope you go broke! Im also going to send an email to Tormeck in Europe. DC

Not sure what warranted the comment "was this your grandfather's axe" it's so old and looks like it was beaten on.(this based on photos I sent him) .... totally irrelevant to the problem. Dave probably assumed that I was a kid. this is no way to treat a customer. .this axe is in fantastic shape for a pre 1988 axe except for the 3 inch long crack in the bit which looks like has been there for decades. ... I was asked, as I explained to Dave in an email, to contact him as the Hultz Brooks rep in the USA already approved replacement with no questions although when he found out I was in Canada he said I would have to call big bear tools to see if they could help .. DAVE didn't even bother to read the emails that I received from the US approving the warranty like I asked him to but instead basically laughed at me on the phone ... The only reason I looked into what to do with the axe was because someone told me it had a lifetime warranty. The axe has a huge crack down it and was not caused by the couple of quarter inch dents in the head... Get the facts before you assume...It's now been a week 4 emails and one phone call since first contact and I am still being ignored... I have moved on! Good thing that they are going to look after it for me in North Carolina... I will remember your service and attitude for my future endeavours.
e	enfieldnelly on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So, having been an online shopper for (more than) a few years, I am fairly experienced in the good, the bad, and the ugly, of sending my electronic money out into the wild blue yonder, and waiting (sometimes forever) for my order to arrive. Blown away, today, by the order I sent in YESTERDAY, arriving at my door this evening . So upset! I haven't even had time to craft an excuse to my wife as to why I have purchased another knife! Hopefully, she loves it, too, as it is an adorable (and highly effective!) Hultafors OK4... Maybe we will need a 'his' and 'hers', shortly? Thanks, Big Bear Tools! I hope I have need (want?) of more of your products, soon!

But, I recently purchased a product that is new to the manufacturer. It turns out the first few turned out to be lemons. I contacted Dave at BBT and he was most helpful. I sent in pictures of my issue and he contacted the manufacturer, got the warranty claim approved and had the item shipped to me. I live 200 miles from BBT and I first contacted him midday thursday by email. Sent him the pictures he requested on thursday. He contacted the swedish manufacturer, had it approved on sunday and I got my delivery on tuesday midday. Considering this was a $400 purchase I was most relieved. I think Big Bear Tools is great!
