Recommend this cute studio to anyone interested in going! The owner is so kind and helpful with all the questions we had! So many choices of pottery to paint! Will update with pictures when I pick up the glazed pottery!

Great little find of a Paint and Pottery studio. It's small and cute, and has a variety of paints and projects to pick-up. The staff are knowledgable and very very sweet. Perfect activity for a rainy day, to chill and talk or to let your creativity take over.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER AT CLAY OR LOOKING FOR FIRING SERVICES. The owner leaves you feeling anxious and worried about how she will treat your pieces once you leave them in her hands. Never going back and never recommending a money minded business owner (see below). i contacted Iris inquiring if she provided firing services during the lockdown, and she said yes. She advised me to fire twice (bisque and glaze) for safety measures, and so I did. She convinces me that she is the 'cheapest' firing service in town, which I disagree because I found cheaper options nearby in the York region, seconds away from her. She said it would cost $55 to fire each time using the whole kiln and would charge me LESS if I end up using LESS kiln space (makes sense, right?). The day came, she filled the kiln and IT DID NOT FILL, but she insisted I paid the full $55. Very dishonest and money minded. After picking up my clay, I realized she had fired them TWICE at the cone 6 temperature *see photos*. Looking back, she clearly had 0 idea about firing bisque clay as her business model is purchasing bisque clay and offering a glaze service to the public, meaning she only knows how to glaze fire clay. She over-fired my pieces and they all came out a dirty yellow colour as if the clay had 'over' baked which it technically did, because she fired them to cone 12 by DOUBLING the temperatures... This caused some of my pieces to have cracks and uneven glaze distributions *see photos*. She ruined my pieces and I am NEVER coming back.

We had a really good time here, went with a 9 year old and two adults. The staff was friendly and helpful. The paint options were really great and had these neat exploding paint specs that create unique designs - perfect for someone who can’t think of their own design or want something really cool looking in their design. Will definitely come back again
