H	Harran Shi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TERRIBLE SUSHI!! What is up with the normal California roll?! The imitation crab is not even trying! It looks like a glob of white radish, 5.5$ taste so artificial and like rotten seafood. And the spicy California roll look so different from the none spicy one, 7.xx$ overall I could only taste the sauce and nothing else. The noodles are just instant noodles with msg broth and little veggies, extremely unhealthy. Most unhealthy, money thirsty, horrible tasting location in the entire school.
D	Dana Sullivan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very quick. Sushi and donburi are a bit expensive given the size. On occasion the rice in the sushi has been a little dry, but quality is usually okay. It seems you get a better value for your money with the udon.
A	Apoorv Taneja on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As much as I ate here during my first year, I can't recommend this place to any self-loving human being who has any standards for sushi/ramen/etc. The reason I frequented during first year is mainly the meal plan discount and convenience, as well as the fact that it was a change of pace from the dining hall food. The serving sizes for sushi seem only slightly below average when you first see them, but then you actually taste it and feel your taste buds swear at you in silence. The rice is always partially dry, the fish often tastes frozen and it's like... I can't believe this is a business that picked sushi as a vital part of their brand. However, if you've never tasted sushi before, why not I guess. Personally though, I haven't eaten sushi there since the first time I tried it. If you like the raw fish/rice combo and don't want to leave campus, I'd recommend Pacific Poke as a better bet. I won't lie though, I still have ramen/udon @Bento Sushi from time to time but I won't say I'm super happy about it. All things considered, 2/5. (Maybe 1.5 if I hadn't frequented so much - I guess anything can grow on you)
M	Maximilian Hnatiuk on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Sushi is okay, but the rice is pretty low quality. The food is as expensive as eating at a restaurant but it's all served from a counter. All the sushi is in togo boxes in a refrigerated area at the front; great for lunch on the go or in a rush. I personally did not enjoy the Ramen, I found it sweet and fairly small. I have yet to try the udon or poke but they appear to be popular options!

The chicken was pretty much like subway processed chicken breast; pre frozen tasteless protein block. The sauce flavours were what ketchup packets are to a good tomato soup. The sushi is kind of congealed. You could say it tastes like “fridge”. Even the wasabi is bad. It’s fake fake wasabi. The worst part is they charged me 10 bucks for it. To be honest I have a sushi place that’s probably a five minute walk from my house that charges 5 dollars for dynamite rolls. That’s half as much and fresh and absolutely delicious. I’m sorry but this place is a scam taking advantage of rushed students.

The teriyaki beef has the texture of chewed-up beef jerky. The flavour overall is on the most generic end of the donburi awesomeness scale.

The good thing though, is that UBC students (especially first years) can use their student card (meal plan dollars) to pay here. Beef udon bowl is pretty good both in terms of taste and price!
