Guy has over 30 years of experience in the Alberta energy industry retiring from EPCOR Utilities in 2020 after 25 years of service. Guy served in a number of executive roles at EPCOR including Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President (SVP) of EPCOR Water Canada, SVP of EPCOR Electricity and SVP of EPCOR Energy Services.

Guy played a leading role in the growth of EPCOR since its creation in 1996 including the development and acquisition of Power Purchase Arrangements in Alberta, EPCOR’s entry into energy retailing, the transformation of EPCOR’s corporate service delivery model and the recent transfer of the City of Edmonton’s Drainage Operations to EPCOR.

Guy holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Western University and is a graduate of Harvard’s Advanced Management Program. Guy is a frequent speaker at conferences and is a Faculty Member for the ICD Director Education Program and the Governance Professionals of Canada Governance Education Program. 

Guy currently serves as a Director for several organizations inducing the University of Alberta Board of Governors (Vice Chair and Chair of the Governance Committee), the River Valley Alliance Board of Directors (Board Chair), Edmonton Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) Executive Committee (Member and Chair of the Governance, Nominating and Finance Committee) and Rohit Developments Advisory Board (Member).

Guy resides in Edmonton and enjoys canoeing, cycling, golfing and fishing in his spare time.
