★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great park with nice sand beach and plenty of shade. Super well kept and lots of Rangers around. Even saw a ranger on a horse who was extremely friendly.
Careful here though, one random lady really insisted on calling my wife mommy and coercing her into watching her swim across the lake... We have two kids to watch lady lol

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We really enjoyed our visit. Lovely walking trails. Off leash area for dogs is not fenced and is beside a busy highway. It is a very large off leash area if your dog's are well trained. Although dogs are supposed to be leashed, we passed more dogs off leash than on. Dogs are not allowed on beach or in picnic area, however, the posted rules do not seem to be followed. There was a lot of algae bloom in the water when we were there, August 29, 2021. The washroom we used was clean but devoid of toilet paper so take Kleenex with you. We were able to find shaded parking for our small RV and spent an enjoyable day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had great time navigating the trials, plenty of nature and wildlife, I could hear splashing in the lake but couldn't see what was causing. There are too many trials and I plan to explore each of them. It was pristine, good for solo hiking

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a little less busy than the other side of the lake (Elk Lake Park). There’s lots of parking, bathrooms, tables, playground, lake with swimming, trails, and more Canadian geese than trees! That said, it is a well-shaded park/playground.
