★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doctor is taking care of you "on the fly", staff is very rude, just unbelievable for a professional office. Punctuality is not there - when I was coming to appointments I had to wait for 40-50 min (what is the point of making time then?). Yet, when I was 10 min late, and they had NO patients in the waiting room, mid-day - the staff told me that they will reschedule. And this is after almost 2 years since I did my previous test, partially due to their rescheduling... When I started asking - why couldn't they take me, they have no patients, they asked me to leave, immediately getting very defensive and harassing. I am a professional, I behave politely, and such 1-min turn-around reaction was just shocking... OK, 2 staff members, no patients, after launch - it is reasonable to wonder why don't they take me for a test that is run by the machine. Doctor herself didn't impress me with her approach, very superficial and dismissive, always rushing through visits. Last time she simply skipped the check-up, after I was waiting for this an year... Meanwhile it was already 2 years, so in total my eyes are not checked for 3 years, my vision dropped dramatically, and nobody seems to care in this office... I wish I knew another ophthalmologist... I see positive reviews from elderly patients who were in her care because they don't know what corners did she cut in her services...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My mother had an appointment this morning and they were litterally not there. Ive found 3 different numbers for this office and I can't get ahold of anyone on all three. She went to the office and knocked on the door and no answer. How is it okay that you can have an appointment and the doctor is litterally not there but they have the right to charge you for a no show. Paid for parking stood in front for like 20 mins. Very unprofessional like most the medical field in Canada. We will be switching now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A real pro. Dr Beattie took care of me, explained things clearly, and let me in on all of the steps I was going through for cataract surgery. On the day of my procedure, she calmly went through the surgery in very short order. In and out in no time, excellent recovery and follow-ups.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Beattie & her staff are wonderful! I was referred to the Hamilton Eye Institute as a emergency case & was seen by her Resident Opthamologist and he was a testament to how great of a MD Dr. Beattie is. I’ve seen her for multiple follow ups since that emerge visit and she is always on time, very pleasant demeanour and most important, very helpful. My appointments are quick, yes, but I never feel rushed or pushed out the door when I’m there. Not very often you find a doctor, and a specialist at that, who’s such a down to earth person.
