This is pretty much the only place in all of Mountain View, the town itself is not much to see. It is, however, only 15 minutes from Waterton, so you can spend most of your time in Waterton without paying Waterton prices. The room itself is decent, thin walls, small bathroom and dated furniture, but it seems clean enough. We had a difficult time trying to figure out who in the convenience store was staff, and then getting those people to help us, but they were pretty helpful one they realized we needed help. The breakfast is amazing, make sure to get the home waffles or breakfast sandwich

Great place to stay. Quick drive to Waterton. The room was very clean and the staff was quick to assist when needed. The breakfast buffet was the best thing our kids enjoyed every morning. It’s definitely worth coming back again.

I stayed at this inn this past weekend and had an unfortunate experience with my family. Upon entering our room, we were disgusted to find 20+ flies infested in the room. They were all over the ceiling and gathering in one corner. I have attached a video of some of the flies gathering in the corner of our room. It was absolutely nauseating! When we approached the owner (Stephanie) about this, she did resolve the issue but offered no apology and simply said "it's that time of the year." We were confused as to why this wasn't resolved before we arrived. Additionally, none of the staff was wearing a mask. Stephanie explained it was not mandatory in Mountain View however it shocked us that due to having lots of traffic and the store/check in area being extremely small that she would not just have her staff wear it. We are in the middle of a pandemic and while it may not be mandatory in Mountain View, having her staff wear a mask would be the right thing to do. This is especially critical as social distancing was not encouraged in the store/check in area. To make things even worse, the staff who were cooking food were not wearing a mask either. We tried to resolve this with Stephanie and she said "if you were uncomfortable, you don't have to come back, in fact, we prefer you don't. Sounds like you need to stick to 5 star city life" along with an extremely unproffesional message offering no apology. We did try to resolve it with her first to give her a chance as we know it has been tough for small businesses during this time. Unfortunately, we were met with hostility and no apology. Overall, extremely dissapointed in our stay and how the situation was handled. Please save your money and don't book here!

Absolutely great! Super friendly staff, super comfortable pillowtop mattress and great choices for breakfast. Fabulous views from some rooms. We were in a lower level room and really appreciated the coolness because it was 30 C. Retired on a budget.

We were staying a night in Payne Lake campground and weren't sure of a nearby place we could grab a meal. Thankfully, we found this gem of a store/restaurant/inn with all the last minute snacks and food (and a great selection of ice cream!) before we went backpacking. Large sweet potato fries was a pretty hefty portion and tasty for a low price. Buffalo chicken strips were good too, excellent service. Also, there's a little "library" outside which is a lovely addition. Nice one stop shop in Mountain View. :)

When we drove up, honestly, I was a little nervous. It’s a very old building, Inn, gas station, general store, restaurant, and clothing shop all in one, but we stayed 6 days and it was wonderful. Rooms were clean, the staff was excellent, and the included breakfast was amazing. The prices were very fair, coffee was good, and you’re thirty minutes from Waterton. Payne Lake was gorgeous, and the fishing was fantastic. Make sure you go to the other side of the island, lots to catch and very little weeds on that side. Absolutely will be back.

Cheaper option than staying in Waterton National Park but close enough (about 20 min drive). Cute, cozy room with a bear/country theme. The inn is connected to a gas station, gift shop, convenient store, and restaurant all in one, which makes it a bit busy when trying to get service but also convenient with everything in one place. Employees and customers were often non-compliant with masking.

Just a perfect stay! The owners are so welcoming. Canada needs more people like them!
