★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a little bit disappointed that BCSPCA mission is "to protect and enhance the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in BC." I had an incident with wild life animal where a young raccoon was injured on my patio and I called to get assistance and I was advised that they don't deal with wild animals, and there are only 2 places in the entire province of BC that will look after wild animals. I am heartbroken that this wild animal that was injured couldn't get the help and assistance it needed. I am not equipped to rescue wild life and now I don't know where this injured wild animal is and if it will survive. I love animals and I truly wish that there was more support for the wild animals.

Darling, formally known as "Big Boy" a second chance ten years ago. It's been ten years and my family and I could not be anymore grateful for him and the joy he has brought to our lives. ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to volunteer at this branch, attended sessions and everything and the way things are run seem to be very good compared to how it apparently was before. The location is so inconvenient though. It's literally in the middle of nowhere making it very inaccessible if you don't have a car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am in the process of adopting a senior Yorkie from this branch of the SPCA. These people went over and above what might have been expected of them, from letting me pick him up on Sunday morning to loading me up with food, toys and other supplies for him. I cannot say enough good things about them. Thank you Maple Ridge SPCA!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience to visit. Lots of animals available for adoption. Cats, darling rabbits, dogs and other creatures. Difficult to say NO to any animal. Too cute.
All animals are kept in a clean, comfortable and stimulating environment. Adequate parking, easy to find. Make an appointment to see, if any of the animals speak to you for adoption. You will do a good thing!! Take a rewarding step forward or volunteer your time, to make a positive difference.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was actually at Katie's place, a no kill shelter for cats. The volunteers there are amazing. I had one volunteer help me so much when I had to give up my beautiful loving cat. Hardest thing I've ever had to do and Jill the volunteer, patiently walked me thru everything and kept in contact with me even months later, helping me let go. I think I wouldve been in a dark place without her help. Beautiful soul and great empaths there .What you want for a pet, looking for forever homes!
