In February 2021, I purchased a new electric car. I was interested in having a level 2 evse installed in my garage. I did an internet search and came across BC Highlight Electric. They had many positive reviews so I decided to ask for a quote. The next day, Naser came by, reviewed my project and submitted a quote that afternoon. I was comfortable with his quote and decided to hire his company for the job. I also wanted to capitalize on the BC Hydro rebate that expired at the end of the month. About a week later, Naser and crew came to install the level 2 evse. For the most part, the job was performed well done and efficient. Part of the work involved running wire from the main house panel through the yard and into the garage. Included in this run is about a 10 foot section of concrete pavers that needed to be removed so that the new wire could be buried underneath them. As the job was nearing completion, I prepared a cheque for the amount based on the work order. The electrician (#3) on the job informed me that there would be an additional cost of $300 for the reinstallment of the pavers. There was no mention in the quote about any additional costs. During the project, I was readily available for consultation but I did not hear anything from them. I was surprised and caught off guard by the additional charge. I felt I didn’t have a choice and paid the electrician. This is where the whole situation started to deteriorate. I had to call Naser back to my house a few times because the evse was not charging. To his credit, he came back within a couple of days. The first time, he filed the evse hose so it would fit firmly into my car’s charge port. That fixed the problem for a short time. I did mention that I was overcharged for the paver work. He agreed and offered to refund me $100. I confirmed that would be a fair resolution. The electrical breakers started to trip in my newly installed garage panel and house main panel. Naser returned again. He opened up the panel of the evse and discovered a melted wire that came from the NEMA 6-50 plug. He contributed the problem to faulty equipment. He also said he was working on the refund. About a week later, Naser returns with a new evse which he installed. I tried to charge my electric car, but the breakers kept tripping again. At this point, my frustration level was growing. Naser returns again and does a more thorough investigation of the problem. He discovers it after he removes the cover plate for the NEMA outlet. He shows me that one of the hot wires was connected to the ground terminal. He instantly says that I deserve my $100 refund. You DO NOT have to be an electrician to recognize how dangerous that situation was. That melted wire (from the last evse) could have easily turned into an electrical fire. When the evse was not charging, I actually unplugged it a few times to see if it would reset. Just by sheer luck, I did not receive a nasty shock or worse. Electrician #3 was too busy gouging me for an extra $300 that he did not take 1 minute to check his electrical connections. That is TOTALLY not acceptable. My home and well being were put at risk because of this. I tried to contact Naser several times about my refund. Those attempts were met with no reply. This speaks volumes about the level of customer service he offers. I ended up complaining to the Better Business Bureau. Again, Naser did not respond. Even though he agreed to refund me $100 on several occasions, he has failed to live up to his promise. That unexpected charge is also an unfair and unethical business practice that his company engages in (not to mention that blatant miswiring that endangered my home and family). I would be remorseful if an unsuspecting customer had to endure the ordeal that I experienced. To conclude, if you are looking for a competent electrical contractor that is committed to customer service, DO NOT call BC Highlight Electric.

I had some ethernet drops done and a new socket on a new circuit put in. BC Highlight Electric was able to do it in 2 days for about 5 hours the first day and 3 hours on the 2nd day. They were kind enough to assemble and mount my rack for me free of charge although I had to purchase both my own patch panel and rack. I had several quotes done with a lot of damage to my drywall expected however Naser and his team was able to do the same work with minimal damage to my drywall and repairing it afterwards. Overall I am very satisfied with the service I received and have no qualms recommending them for your ethernet drops and/or low voltage needs.

Mountain Hwy Collision relocated to a new facility, it was very challenging with the lighting and electrical up-grades that were required. Our worries and stress were eased off by Naser's professionalism and knowledge. In order to accommodate with our busy schedule Naser was even coming in to the shop on the Weekends! He was hands on...BC Highlight was the best choice in terms of cost, confidence and flexibility. Awesome job Naser, your success with BC Highlight Electric its well deserved. I would highly recommend this company.

Naser was extremely professional with the installation of my EV charger. He was quick and onetime. They even went out of their way to be extra responsible and caring that my pets (cats) wouldn't run outside during their trips in and out the house during the install. Vey kind and appreciated. I would highly recommend BC Highlight Electric!

I had a great experience with Soheil from BC Highlight Electric. Soheil had great energy the first time he came to give us a quote. On job day, he and Naser spent less than 8 hours installing many lights in our home. They came with new ideas and respected our ideas. I like that they communicated well to ensure everything was installed to our liking. A minor issue was a picture frame was accidently bumped off the wall resulting in damage on the frame and baseboard but there was resolution. Overall, I highly recommend them.

Have used them two times so far, once to install fans in our house and once to install a dryer booster. Have also recommended them to a neighbour and they installed pot lights for them. All the work was perfect and we're very happy. Would highly recommend.

Honestly I cannot say enough good things about Soheil and his team. They are on-time, professional, SO CLEAN (I am OCD when it comes to cleanliness and they are top notch), speedy, and most importantly thorough. The developers of our pre-build told us it would not be possible to install 2 extra sconces where we wanted them after finishing the build without tearing the mirrors out and replacing them. Soheil said no problem, and had them installed in record time. They were so amazing with that install we used them a second time for some breaker issues along with a pendant install (again, our developers told us it would not be possible). They are now our go-to's for all electrical work & we will continue to refer them to everyone we know!
