Done zumba in lots of places and the instructors here are my favorite of everywhere so far. It's a no-frills place but the groupon is a great deal and you get a great workout with nice people.

I registered for bachata classes and paid 3 months ago , but they never offered me any classes and kept bringing excuses that we don’t have any class right now. If you didn’t offer any class, why did you allow me to enrol and charge me???

My fiancé went from zero dance experience to assisting with the beginner class that we used to attend, within half a year. If you want a great class environment, with a knowledgeable, patient, and fun teacher, sign up for Nestor's salsa classes - beginner or intermediate. You won't regret it.
r	ryan cheung on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Studio is always dirty. Speakers act up at times too. He has a water tank... but i can smell cleaning chemicals in there. I think a classmate stated he refill the water tank at the janitor sink.... the owner Nestor is always hovering around while I'm taking class making it very uncomfortable. Another classmate of mine whom tried to rent his space for practice told me a story of him - When they arrived on the date they booked in, Nestor made an awkward comment of how little we pay for the rent, when he sets the price?!?!?! Then he had the audacity to ask them to pay for more and when my friend refused he was just and hovering once again and being rude Both my friend and I aren't coming back. Mind you this was a some time back... Other dance studios in downtown seem to be a way better option I never do reviews but this one gave me a reason too... Would not recommend to place anyone.
S	Sarah Louadi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been going to BC Dance in various capacities for the past 2 years, as a student, an assistant, and to attend special events. I generally enjoyed the classes I took there. I would often see Nestor (the manager, who also teaches there) go out of his way to keep the space clean or fix an amenity. He also constantly strives to renovate the studio for various purposes, which offer variety to renters (exercising, boxing, dancing, massages, and even chess). Every time I go, I would find Nestor either working on a new project or thinking about additions to make the studio more versatile, welcoming, and efficient. When I assisted him in teaching salsa classes, we would talk about how to make the best out of the time allocated, so that people leave fulfilled. He takes feedback seriously, and is genuinely concerned about the students' experience. He would often go overtime because he cared more about transferring as much knowledge as possible than keeping track of time :) The studio is easily accessible (a few blocks away from the Canada Line in Yaletown Station) and nicely situated so you can go for drinks or food with your classmates after class.
