★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked an appointment last week for a massage with Basil. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to reschedule our appointment. Unfortunately, we had to cancel two more times. We felt bad. We finally just stopped rescheduling and realized it wasn't fair to both of us. Shortly after, we received a text message from Basil stating that if we wished to book further appointments with him, we would have to pay for the one that was canceled, even though we gave him 1 to 2 hours notice, plus any future bookings. We told him we wouldn't be going back to see him as that was unfair. His website says nothing about his cancelation policies or covid safety protocols he takes to ensure his client's safety. He doesn't send this information in his text messages either. Basil responded back by saying "try the same tactic with any other RMT that you have tried with me these past 8 days and let me know what you learn from it as to what would be acceptable." What tactic? Talk about rude and condescending. His message went on to finally explain his covid safety protocols, among other things.
I mean wow. He works in customer service. We weren't rude to him at all. We certainly didn't deserve his treatment of us. No apology whatsoever. I told him I would be leaving a negative review on Google and not to contact me again. He sent another text message saying "please don't say anything you will regret." I didn't respond to his threatening message.
