Great trails, muddy in fall and winter but easily bypassed.

A great place for a walk. Went mid August. The trails were beautiful. Did the blue and green loop (started at the farther end of the green) with our 5 year old in just under two hours. There is parking at the start of the trail just through the gate. We will come back here.

Delightful trails, well marked, not a lot of other hikers, nice n hilly terrain transected by a lovely creek. Well maintained, lots of mixed types of trees and gorgeous old cedars. Well done, Land Trust!

Just visited today. Beautiful place! While the site and brochure indicate the Heritage Hike is easy to moderate, it was a bit of a challenge in the snow today. Footing wasn’t great because we’ve had a mild spell so the snow is melting and not packed down like I’m sure it was in the colder weather. So every few feet you dropped a foot into the deep snow. There are hills as well. From the parking lot at the bottom of the hill (the road up is not maintained in winter) and back is more like 7.5-8km according to my app. Will be back in better weather for sure!

A fantastic new conservation area and trail in the Haliburton area. Visiting in the winter, you need to work at the bottom of the hill and walk up. In the Summer there is a small parking lot at the top of the hill. The Heritage Trail (Red) is about 5km with a fair amount of up and down. It's a good workout, especially in the Winter. If visiting in the Winter, bring snow shoes if there has been recent snow as the trail would be quite challenging without them. In the Winter it took us just under 2 hrs. There are a few shorter/turn-back trails if you're looking something less challenging. Looking forward to return in the Spring.

Beautiful, serene, accessible + easy to use trails, free maps on site. Thanks to the Dobrzensky family and the Highland Trust for your contribution! Restoration of the natural ecosystem to its pre-European diversity can now proceed at pace.

A great place for a hike! Varied forest and open fields. Photos did not do it justice.

Beautiful experience walking through the forest. Some areas are little muddy, but it adds to the beauty of nature.
