They have a good variety of stuff, but because of the two employees who are so rude they have definitely lost my business for good. I personally would go else where to shop, or avoid shopping while those two employees are working.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overpriced, closes way too early and does not update their schedule, owner is aggresive and rude. Only survives because the next best option is a 20 minute drive and hold the monopoly in the area. Plan a trip to Safeway then going here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there for some beer and juice (cranberry, pineapple) and the lady was very nice, there are no complaints from me. She was very nice and smiling, and helped me with finding the pineapple juice and she did it with positivity and so for that thank you ? havent had a problem yet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is THE place to shop in or around Balfour. Because you literally have no other choice. The store is fairly well stocked, but even in the non-tourist season, the locals are treated to about 75% premium pricing on basic grocery items. If you can possibly wait, buy your supplies in Nelson. But you'll probably buy some beer and an overpriced frozen pizza and some chips way more often than you'd like anyway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store has all of the essentials plus a little more, the prices are marked up which is expected for its size.
What makes a customer leave feeling dissapointed is their service. The staff does not smile, they do not greet people, and even worse is when they are spoken to they will just walk away.
Having more welcoming and friendly staff would make people like myself much more inclined to buy a few more items on a trip to the store that they would normally wait to go to a larger grocery store for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is our local store, which we have supported for the last few years. Decent selection and friendly employees. HOWEVER the owner is so utterly rude and unpleasant that we don't intend to shop there any more. Not sure what his problem is, but he has zero concept of customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely girl working there. Think she was offended I had to leave a bus when we were talking. Also great selection of beef jerky. I recommend original. Also a good Gatorade selection. Although I always go for blue. A bus stop opposite going Nelson. Everyone was very friendly. Disabled access
