★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a wine club member with Backdoor Winery and from visiting them in Summerland to doing several deliveries to my home in Manitoba they have been fantastic - accommodating, pleasant, knowledgeable and oh! - they have great wines and free shipping to boot. Jessica was fantastic with my new order as always. You can't do better than with Backdoor Winery!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of our "must go" places when we visit this area. It has been a couple of years but they have added pizza which was a wonderful thin crust.
Add that to the view and you can spend a few hours here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wine was good but the girls attitude wasn’t. She didn’t give us her name. We walked in at 5pm for a tasting and no one else was there. She asked if we had a reservation and we didn’t and she acted annoyed and said she’d gives us a quick tasting as she had a group coming in at 5:15. We were completely ok with that and expressed our appreciation as we were just a walk-in. She didn’t share much info about the wines just tiny pours and to get us out of there. She said there had been many walk-ins that day and seemed annoyed with it. We bought two bottles, were super friendly the whole time and she came across the entire time that she didn’t want us there. It was our last winery stop on our trip and after purchasing enough wine to fill 6 boxes it wasn’t a very good last winery stop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting new winery. They grow a very rare varietal in the world: Oraniensteiner. This german varietal is grown in only two vineyards in Canada, so Back Door Winery could be your chance to try it. Their chardonnay is unoaked, crisp and fresh.
