Our French Bulldog has been horribly behaved with anyone but us in the last 3 years, we couldn't control her other than physically restrain her or put her on a leash when there's any interactions with other humans/dogs. We thought training a 5 year old dog might be waste of time, but upon first meeting with Nancy-Lynn, age really wasn't an issue! After our training sessions with Nancy-Lynn, we were able to understand our dog, and find ways to make her feel safe and secure. We are able to control her behavior finally, it takes practice and we are practicing! But to be able to control her with positive reinforcements and mutual respect with simple commands felt like a miracle because we were never able to do that. Now we are able to have a NORMAL dog and allow her to get to know other dogs and humans. We are incredibly thankful for the lessons, and can't wait for more pack walks. Our dog is happier and we are less stressed/concerned. Thank you Nancy-Lynn for all the chats about understanding an animal other than forcefully controlling them. We did a consultation with Nancy, specifically looking to train our dog to be less dominant and aggressive around other dogs. She gave us great advice during the consultation and then after understanding our specific case, recommended us to another trainer to us who has access to many dogs we could practice with to meet our specific training goals. I have no doubt we could have made great progress with Nancy, but that is a mark of an excellent trainer who truly cares about dogs and meeting a client's goals in that she would recommend us to go to someone else. Nancy truly cares about making your dog the best they can be!

We had sought out Awesome K9 experience and skills thinking they would be a good match for our challenging 2 year old dog. After waiting several months and paying for the assessment fee, we finally did get the evaluation we were waiting for to proceed with training. It was then disappointing to learn that after all the wait and the money, she lack the professionalism and basic level of decency to ever respond to our phone calls and emails with a few questions, which understandable when you're considering forking out 1,000 plus for dog training. I can only assume that this is that she has other easier clients that she can choose to work with, but these aren't necessarily the dogs that need the training and work that she professes to have. sadly these dogs are often those that end up being being returned to shelters and miss the opportunity of being in a loving environment. Having read some of the reviews, NL does spend a lot of time doing the talking about her dogs and experience, which is kind of annoying when you're there to address your dog's behavior issues. The model is having to pay an assessment fee and taking the gamble that she may or may not ever respond to you, is one we wouldn't recommend. Update: Our dogs name is Inhaca and the account that this review is posted from is the same account that we registered for the initial consultation, emailed follow up questions from and received notifications about your pack walks. We are not bots, just clients who paid for a consultation and then were ignored and given no further communication or answers to our questions.

Nancy was very professional and my kids loved her. Besides training them, she also helped me being a better human. She passed on a lot of information and I could make videos of our sessions in order to help me practice the right way at home. I strongly recommend Awesome K9.

My dog has greatly improved his leash walking skills; with Nancy's guidance I have learned some valuable techniques and am able to be more relaxed. Nancy is calm, knowledgeable and professional -- the dog loved being with her, as did I. Looking forward to the pack walks!

Nancy Lynn is a true experienced professional in the field of dog training and dog behaviour. She applies a sound approach and thoroughly explains training methods so an owner is informed and confident. The result is amazing and I witnessed a great improvement in my communication and bonding with my dog.

We (an older arthritic couple) got another German shepherd puppy. We had forgotten what a puppy was like. Nancy was amazing. After several sessions I was no longer afraid to walk her on a lease. Nancy is very encouraging to owners, gentle to the dogs and very knowledgeable.

When I had first approached Nancy-Lynn I had just gotten my first puppy and was beyond stressed at the constant biting, inability to go in her crate and numerous other behaviors that I now realize are just puppy behaviors. Nancy-Lynn was incredibly patient with us and is an amazing trainer. Over the span of several weeks Nancy-Lynn would ask us how the previous week had gone and would give us homework to work on and as each week went by our puppy became the best dog. With the purchase of puppy classes which we did we also got 6 months of free pack walks which was HUGE. It was an amazing value. We were the ones with the puppy that started by biting her leash and trying to escape her collar and by the end of them our dog was walking loosely on leash by us. I highly recommend Nancy-Lynn as your future trainer.
