As we all know Collection Agencies can be bothersome, harrassing and they can just be right out cruel by disparaging remarks and threats and think they have no consequences for their actions. As being the Debtor and not Company seeking collection I was hesitant to even call Alex and his company back. However after reading reviews I wanted to see if the remarks were true or where they made by company employees or marks placed by them. By my surprise Alex was truly easy to talk to and helpful so the reviews do seem very reliable. When I left a Voicemail I said before it goes further he needs to mail me what is owing and to whom and he did within a week. Something I was impressed with was that they included a document titled Debt Collection: Information About Your Rights. I was told it is mandatory now but have never seen it and this should be mailed out to everyone yearly by the government so that people know their RIGHTS. The company that states I owe is a company I have current purchases with and the matter outstanding was taken care of around 2.5-3yrs ago. The amount may only been $85 but I'm tired of this company as they have sent this to 4 different Collections Agencies. It was to the point I got a letter saying nothing was owing and gave one to Transunion and Equifax. However here we are yet again! Speaking with Alex I told him the situation and he said he would note it and wouldn't call back. I made it clear I will call the company again and if for some reason they don't update it I will find the letter and contact Alex in mid January 2020. So Alex thank you for being professional and listening. So anyone who gets a call or anything take the time to call Alex back and I can't see how he won't be willing to help you with whatever is outstanding. Why it is so important to be on top of your credit and get a credit report and look it over at least every 90 days or so.

I fell on hard times and ended up in debt. Of all the collection agencies I've had to deal with, I found AVP to be the most humane experience. The agent I spoke with was professional, helpful, clear, and not pushy or abusive like I have experienced with other agencies.
