TERRIBLE business. I’m not able to reach anyone that i need to reach after calling about 10 times a day for 2 days and leaving messages. Straight to voicemail. I call the reception to try and find a way around it and after getting transferred all over the building telling them NOT to transfer me to the person i need to speak too because they will not answer, they do it anyway. All i want to know is how to pay an amount owed to them but i guess they don’t want my money!!

I would give Aviva a zero star if I could! Spent over 2 hours on the phone, most was on hold and then they connected me to a representative in India who is trained to answer my questions. What a terrible company I just need to fix my car and they are not giving me any direction of how to fix it.

I would not recommend aviva for anyone looking for an insurance company that will provide them with any type of support during tough times. My mother had a serious fire in her home almost a month ago now and aviva has yet to communicate with her about the status of her claim. They have no problem interrogating her about everything and anything but when it comes time to take the appropriate steps to insure that her health is protected they have yet to act. No one has come to verify that the quality of the air is safe, and whenever my mother tries to contact an agent, she never receives any response. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied as someone that has been paying premiums for the last 15 years.

Thank you Aviva for NOT fixing the mechanical issues present in my vehicle immediately after receiving my car back from your partner garage. It's always a nice feeling getting back into a car after a fairly minor accident to the smell of burning plastic and noises from the engine bay. It's an even nicer feeling being told that they will not be covered by my insurance policy. I guess that's what I can expect my first claim in over 8 years with 3 vehicles insured. Time to shop for a new insurance company

ZERO star! I got into a huge car accident in July and as of today I still didn’t receive anything for my total loss! They have a company called Crawford who “handles” their claims and this claim rep named Melissa Thomas wouldn’t return any of my calls (I would call her at least once a week to follow-up) and was always out of the office. When I tried getting assistance from another rep they claimed they were unable to access my file. I finally received a call on August 30th from Melissa who left me a voicemail message telling me I was apparently supposed to return my rental a week prior and had to pay out of my pocket for the extra days...how was I supposed to know when to return the rental car when she never notified me and doesn’t even return any of my calls!! Because my insurance only pays $1,500 for car rental, i had reached out the max because no one was handling my claim and therefore I had to pay for car rental out of my pocket while waiting to receive confirmation that my car was a total loss. Then she had the audacity to offer me a lump sum of half the worth of my car value even though everywhere else the car is sold for at least double the price! After filing a complaint, it turned out that Crawford had received confirmation from the evaluator that my car was a total loss on August 14, yet no one contacted me nor did anything to finalize my file. When I finally received the official documents to sign and complete, I send them back right away completed and nothing got done. I called a week later and they claimed they never receive anything, despite that I had proof that I did indeed send everything (sent by email). As of today I still didn’t receive my money!

I'm quite surprised to read these negative reviews. I have been impressed with the service from Aviva. Every agent I have dealt with has been extremely helpful and friendly. Emails and calls are responded to quickly , providing answers to all of my questions. I recently needed to relocate to temporary accommodation whilst repairs were being made on my apartment. Everything was handled professionally, and I was reimbursed quickly for my expenses.
